We rested from 10/30/11 to 11/13/11. We were lucky with the weather, the air temperature was +30, it rained for a couple of days, mostly in the afternoon, in the afternoon, it ended in the evening and the next day it was sunny again and the weather was good. I really liked the hotel, beautiful territory, spacious rooms, a large safe in the room, even a laptop was placed, Internet was bought for 10 dollars. day, the beach is excellent, there were enough sunbeds for everyone and there were still many free ones, the staff was friendly, there were very few Russians, a few Europeans, 60-80% of tourists from the States. The food is delicious: blue cheeses, jamon, shrimp, lobsters. Several themed restaurants where you can dine in the evening: a sushi bar, a steakhouse (delicious beef, excellent Arizona sausages))), a fish restaurant, an Italian restaurant was not impressed, we were there only once. The rest had dinner 2-3 times.
Various alcohol, champagne, whiskey, vodka, rum, martini, gin (imported)!!! ! Cocktails are made for every taste!
We tried their local drink, called Mama Juana - a drink of passion ; ) roots, leaves infused with dark rum, a cool drink ; )))

We went on an excursion, took Catalinita VIP (plus VIP excursions, a speed boat with a cover, you will see more and not burn out). We visited the village of artists Altos de Chavon - this is a unique place, like a piece of the Mediterranean Middle Ages in a tropical paradise. In the center of the avenue, on the square, many world celebrities got married in the church of St. Stanislaus, and in the jungle near the city some scenes of the film Apocalypse Now, a remake of King Kong and Anaconda were filmed. Very picturesque places! 300 steps down and we were on the banks of the Chavon River, got into a speedboat and went down the river with a breeze to the Caribbean Sea, swam with starfish, then looked at the mangroves, which are inhabited by amazing birds - frigates, very beautiful.
After that, we sailed to the tiny island of Catalinita, located between the island of Saona and the coast of the Dominican Republic, at the confluence of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. On this island, the chefs prepared a traditional local dish - grilled lobster, there was also a side dish, vegetables, fruits and rum flowed like a river (good rum) !! ! And the last stop was on the beautiful island of Saona, time flew by very quickly, I had to return, but I really did not want to leave this island. I liked this tour very much, our whole company was satisfied!! ! I advise everyone, it is worth seeing, of all the excursions this is the best!!!
There is nothing much to do outside the hotel, except to go out for souvenirs (there is a market, it is cheaper there than in the hotel, outside the territory - to the right)! And how the Dominicans love to bargain - worse than the Turks and Egyptians combined 
Rest was a success!! ! And this is the main thing, to fly thousands of kilometers across the ocean, and not be disappointed!! ! It was an unforgettable 2 weeks! We didn't make a mistake with the choice of the hotel, we didn't regret our choice for a minute.
