I don't want to scare anyone. I will describe some situations from my personal experience of relaxing with my wife and son 3.5 years old at the Emerald Golden Five from Coral Travel and how to solve them.
They brought us to the hotel at about 21:00 local time (23:00 Moscow time). But even on the bus, the guide informed us that there were no places at the Emerald Hotel, for which we paid, and therefore we would be accommodated in another one (also a wonderful 5 * Diamond). Something told me that I had to fight and I demanded our guide to look into the situation. The sweetest Russian-speaking guide with charming eyes Naomi Campbell named Ashraf agreed that this is our right, but the damned hotel administration sold out all the rooms and there is definitely nowhere to settle us. Attempts to force him to do something for us ended with him pointlessly pressing the buttons on his mobile phone with a very worried face and talking in Arabic with the reception staff, accompanied by everyone's neighing. When I called Coral support (it was already around midnight Moscow time), a nice girl immediately advised me to accept and agree to all their conditions. Realizing that I was not in the mood to submit to fate, she asked for the phone number of our guide. Ashraf (guide) immediately gave his mobile phone number, but as soon as he received a call, he immediately rejected it, and, looking into our surprised eyes, assured that “they didn’t call him from Moscow and they won’t call him, because no one needs it... "
After looking at my exhausted son with circles under his eyes and almost furious wife, I went to the reception to figure it out myself. Showing my voucher and explaining in English that my wife and son were on the verge of a nervous breakdown, I saw understanding and even a glimmer of respect in the eyes of the employee (speaking English raises you almost to the skies in the eyes of the staff). Pomuryzhiv us another 20 minutes, we were given the same key to the room. True, we were not settled in the main building, there was no children's bed in the room, the door to the toilet did not close, and the water in the bath did not drain - all these were such trifles! Yes, when we were escorted to the room, the guide Ashraf, who had disappeared for a long time, appeared from nowhere and asked if everything was in order with us. After informing him that we had solved our problems, and thanking him for the trouble and the spent energy, we went to bed.

Conclusion #1: Solve your own problems and learn English.
There is a lot of food in the canteen. True, these are mostly inedible sausages (honestly, they sell better in our stores), not very fresh vegetables and green fruits (melons, it seems, are imported from Krasnodar, and maybe from Ryazan, judging by their ripeness). Side dishes, and almost everything, for some reason, are always cold. But, you can almost always find beef in the form of goulash and it overshadows everything else. Baking is represented by at least 10 varieties of any pies. True, inside they are all made from the same puff pastry, but they are always fresh and there is something to choose from. After about 15-20 minutes from the start of breakfast (lunch or dinner), porcelain dishes (cups) run out and you have to burn your fingers while pouring coffee or tea into plastic cups (and this is 5*!!! ). I'm not talking about teaspoons and spoons in general, the necessary set of which for 5 * is enough only for the elite. But there are enough forks for everyone. There is very interesting furniture in the dining room: I, a person who is far from small in stature, had a table somewhere at chest level, my wife, if desired, could put her chin on the table, practically without bending down - everyone remembered a kindergarten or even a nursery.
Conclusion number 2: take beef with pies, the rest is not worth your attention and health...
About health. From the local food, my wife and I had an indigestion on the 2nd day (the son escaped this fate, since he ate practically nothing there). Being doctors and having a simple set of medicines, we coped with the disease, and the woman in the neighborhood had to call a local doctor, because. her daughter started vomiting uncontrollably. When the doctor arrived, he immediately asked for $30, and then explained that a special bacterium was to blame for everything, which does not touch the locals, but settles in Europeans... And he left. Since it was useless to fight the local bacterium, the fact of comparing us with Europeans consoled us.

Conclusion #3: Bring your medications and don't use local medicine unless you want to see a $30 circus act.
Sunbeds on the beach or by the pool must be borrowed from 6.00 to 7.00 in the morning, otherwise it will be very problematic to do it later. The towel left on the sun lounger while swimming was stolen from us. Moreover, the caretakers of the beach do this, since the fine for losing a towel is $ 20. But the caretaker is ready to solve your problem for only $5. I promised to complain to the manager, and the "lost" towel was immediately refunded for free.
Please note that in water parks, whether on the territory of the hotel or in any other, there are no safety rules. Everywhere hang posters like "your children are your responsibility. " What can we say about adults. Employees on the slides do not control the process. A person heavier than 90 kg gets stuck at the very beginning of the hill and goes and crawls down on foot, praying to Allah that no one rolls down on top of him, which I also experienced.
Conclusion number 4: spend the time from 6.00 until sunset on the beach, threaten to report any thefts to the hotel manager.
Mostly Russians rest in Golden Five. Hence the attitude of the servants, hence the service for a maximum of good 3 *. And we ourselves are partly to blame, because, getting drunk in the evening, we begin to break the doors to the room and “educate” our companions with all our might (I observed all this at the hotel); when we come to have dinner and hear “sorry mest in the dining room now net, take a walk for about 30 minutes” (I watched regularly in Diamond, where they first wanted to accommodate us), we walk around, swallowing saliva, and do not demand a manager and do not contact the tour operator; when merchants in shops, trying to please you, add through the word “bro, without a market, damn it! ”
Conclusion No. 5: our problems in Golden Five are only our problems, and we get the rest we deserve.

In the end, I would like to thank our tour operator. Before that, we were in Prague, Turkey, Cyprus. Now we have something to compare good service with. Thank you Coral Travel for an invaluable experience.
