We flew to Golden 5 Emerald in April 2019. We paid a normal amount of money, as for Egypt, and, accordingly, we expected quite a decent hotel.
We arrived at 9:30, waited 3 hours before checkin. We were promised "snacks" (see photo below), it was stale buns.
Although we were given one of the best rooms, the conditions there, to put it mildly, are not very good:
TERRITORY. Very, very big. In this whole area (the size of a small village) only this hotel operates. Everything else is abandoned buildings, cafes, hotels. Everything is up and running. Yes, there is a good water park, super for children, but some slides are in disrepair.
NUTRITION. Yes, there is a lot of food. BUT! Salads are useless (you are disturbed by what remains from breakfast or lunch). Sausage, cottage cheese, sausages, potatoes - disgusting, like soups. The only thing you can eat is veal stew and chicken. Of the normal side dishes, only rice. They serve crab for the evening, which was a surprise.
