Rested with my daughter 8 years old at the end of March 2012. First time in Egypt. Tour operator "Biblio-Globus". From the tour operator - everything is fine, no complaints. Now about the hotel.
The territory is huge, very well-groomed and beautiful. The staff takes care of every flower. Beautiful birds run. Walking is pleasant day and night.
Accommodation, We arrived in the evening around 21.00. The porter began to hint at a surcharge for a good room. After reading previous reviews and realizing that nothing depends on him, they did not give money. Placed within 15 minutes in room 7106 on the 3rd floor without an elevator in an additional building, which is 200 meters from the main building overlooking the garden. Everything in the room worked except the phone. As many have already written, the main drawback is the strong audibility from the corridor. All night the neighbors slam their doors and talk loudly in the hallway. The carpet is stained, very dusty and never vacuumed. Instead of duvet covers - sheets, which is inconvenient. Bathtub with rust stains.

Room cleaning is of poor quality: for 7 days the bed was not changed, the balcony was never cleaned. Towels were changed regularly, even if we did not throw them on the floor. We did not make any figures on the beds, so we did not leave a tip.
The food for us was ok. The fact that there are few fruits is yes. Glasses in the restaurant bar sometimes had to wait, black tea ended immediately. Once late for breakfast - left without milk. I didn’t like that during the week of staying the tablecloths on the tables were seen only 2 times at dinner (once in the main restaurant, once in the Promenade at a themed dinner). Without tablecloths, a restaurant with old plastic countertops looks like a dining room. Personally, I did not have enough oriental sweets in the restaurant. For some reason, they were only in bars on the beach and in the water park.
I didn't like local alcohol (even beer). I drank only cocktails in the billiards bar. Free ice cream for children is provided at the pool bar. But the bartender, whom everyone here complains about, does it with a very displeased look. Once we arrived from an excursion at 16.30 - there was no ice cream, although it was stated that it should be issued from 16.00 to 17.00. The child is very upset
The sea is beautiful and entry into the water is good, but very cold (no more than 18 degrees). Bathed only 2 times. We hoped for a hotel water park, but the water there was also icy. There were always sunbeds on the beach and by the pools, even after 10.00.
We succumbed to the persuasion of beach barkers and went for a foam massage with peeling. Complete nonsense. Not worth the money paid. We talked to other people about this topic - they were also disappointed. If you still go for a massage, then do not pay for the entire complex of massages at once, but try it once, and then decide for yourself whether you need it or not.
No kids club. The animator just sits, and the children occupy themselves. Who watches TV, who draws, who runs on the playground. Daughter didn't like it. Went to the mini disco in Paradise once. The same. Few children, no fun.

In Paradise, we went to a bar - we waited for clean glasses for 10 minutes. Emerald is better in this regard: the bar is served faster and the interior will be newer. By the way, people from Paradise came to our hotel for dinner and said that our food was better. BUT we did not eat in other restaurants.
Daytime animation is good: club dance, exercises, latino, aqua aerobics (in the cold sea in a hurricane wind), boccia. We went to the evening animation once for a dollar in the Promenade. At first, for 40 minutes, the music just rumbled in the smoky hall, then the tanora show began. For 10 minutes, the man twirled non-stop in huge skirts. Then there was supposed to be a belly dance performed by local girls (as the animator promised). A Russian dancer came out (far from a young age) and the fact that she began to show was very disappointing (in the village club they will dance a belly dance and even better). Then she called girls from the hall and tried to teach them to dance what she apparently considers belly dancing. We got up and left. After that evening, we no longer had the desire to go to such an evening animation. We went every evening to the fountains. It is beautiful there and the child rode with pleasure on battery cars.
Once I had to go to the clinic because of poisoning. Although they ate almost the same thing every day. There they explained to us that this happened due to the fact that ice for cocktails is made from tap water. And we even brushed our teeth with drinking water (who knew about ice). But their Egyptian medicines immediately helped (for some reason, ours turned out to be ineffective in this case).
When there was no cold water in the room once (and, accordingly, the toilet bowl did not work), I had to walk to the reception to send a plumber. The plumber came in 10 minutes and fixed all the problems. Other people who called on the phone with the same problem did not wait for the plumber for an hour, and just like we went to make a request in person.

We took an excursion to the Jungle Park water park (the guide promised that there would be heated water). The water park is very large and beautiful, there are many slides for adults and water attractions for children. But the water - like everywhere ice. We arrived at the hotel, wrote a claim, a day later we were offered to visit the same water park for free (they explained that there was cold water on the day of our visit due to preventive maintenance). We believed and went by taxi there and back. But the water was cold again. And the people staying at the Jungle Park Hotel said that the water is always cold there. So don't believe everything they promise.
The most annoying thing is that things were stolen from our room. First, my pareo was gone. I searched the whole room - I didn't find it (okay, I think I accidentally lost it). But when we began to collect things before leaving, we did not count the new daughter's trousers. We definitely couldn’t lose our trousers, because. walked the first two days in them only in the evening and they also returned to the room. It became clear that the trousers with pareos went in one direction. Reported this to reception. The manager and the security guard came to our room and searched the whole room and all our belongings (they looked into all the suitcases, bags and bags, shifting each of our things). Of course they didn't find anything. They say: "You washed and the wind blew it from the balcony. " Why do we need to wash new trousers? Wrote on retsepshen all in writing. They promised to sort it out within 2 days and send an answer by e-mail, because. we left early in the morning. We are still waiting for an answer. Already from home, I described everything again and sent it to the hotel representative and by e-mail. hotel administration address. But, apparently, since we left, then there is no problem for them anymore. How can this be in a 5* hotel? Therefore, I strongly advise you to check the availability of your things every evening (however funny it may seem)
And finally, before leaving, they ordered a porter, so as not to drag suitcases and bags from the 3rd floor to the main building. I think many have already guessed that we waited in vain for the porter. Although he personally wrote down in the evening when and where he should approach. So, the service there is lame on both legs at once. The last fly in the ointment spoiled the whole impression of this hotel.
It is a pity that our expectations from the first trip to Egypt were not 100% justified. We traveled with a positive attitude. WE HOPE THAT EVERYONE ELSE WILL HAVE MORE SUCCESSFUL OURS (and most likely in another hotel).
