Лето в рождество! Summer at Christmas!

We recently returned from this fairy tale, the euphoria has passed and now we decided to write a couple of lines about the hotel and the rest in general.
We went to Egypt for the first time, we usually rest in the Mediterranean, but it was very tempting to rest in a warm country in winter. I heard a lot of negative things about hotels and staff in Egypt. The star hotels do not correspond to the declared ones, the food is bad, etc. , etc. Therefore, we chose the four, which are not expensive in price, with slides, green areas and shallow water for the child. We traveled with two families with children, flew from different cities and the difference was one day. We were at the hotel, at about 12.30 we filled out all the necessary forms and asked to settle next to our friends. Everything was done without problems and quickly. Half an hour later we were already unpacking our suitcases. We got a room in the main building on the 3rd floor overlooking the hotel's courtyard, pools and construction site. Ordinary room with TV, mini bar, two beds (then they brought a third for a child). Of course, they need renovation, but everything worked without problems. There was a kettle, tea, sugar, however, I don’t quite understand why with the all-inclusive system and food, almost around the clock, but more on that later...
The hotel itself is clean, cleanliness is monitored, which I liked very much. The territory is small, but cozy and green, which also pleased. The main restaurant - breakfast, dinner - in my opinion, quite roomy and neat. The second restaurant on the beach serves lunch, everything for the convenience of vacationers. There is also a bar by the pool, where you can have a bite to eat at lunch, but the choice of hot dishes is smaller and there are no salads, and hot snacks from 16-17.00 As for food! We were fed very tasty food. The choice of meat dishes was quite wide - beef, liver, chicken and all this in different forms, in gravy, battered, grilled and simply sliced. The fish was every day also in different variations. Liked the breakfasts! Pancakes, donuts, omelettes with different fillings at will, fruit salads and, of course, pastries. Grilled crabs a few times. Children, and even adults, cooled off with ice cream after dinner, and cracked popcorn in the evenings. I give the hotel excellent food.

Animation! ? Somehow boring... we thought so. There were several shows that we visited, for some reason a paid disco (1 time) with local animators, but all drinks were included (!? ) It seemed strange and incomprehensible to us, what was the point at a cost of $ 7 per person . Probably to maintain the local night bar : ) The rest of the time we visited the local disco from time to time, if we didn’t fall down from outdoor activities.
For children every evening 20.30 disco, a mini club is open from 15.00-17.00
The slides are excellent, the pool is heated, both adults and children rode with pleasure. We worked for half an hour, every hour, also a strange schedule, but then we got used to such a schedule.
The beach is like a beach. I do not know who wrote that he is small? Just compact, enough space for everyone. Of course, there are no sun loungers, half of them are broken, but it is quite possible to lie in the sun. The availability of beach towels and mattresses is also a plus, very comfortable. There is a kitesurfing school-club on the territory of the hotel, prices are reasonable and a lot of fun and adrenaline, we recommend!
The sea... Yes, it is shallow, but you can swim from the pier, and the water at a depth will be warmer. If you want to admire the marine life, this hotel is not for you. Of course there is a reef and something lives there, but not in such abundance.
In the evenings, we spent time in the lobby bar, where WI-FI works, music plays, you can drink various alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails and just play billiards. Alcoholic drinks are quite tolerable and not even diluted, as is often the case in Turkey!

Separately, I want to share my impressions of a winter holiday in Egypt. Maybe it will be interesting and useful for someone, especially vacationers with children. December, January are considered the coldest months in Egypt. With the weather, it's just as lucky at this time. We arrived and hoped to plunge into the gentle rays of the sun and warm evenings... naive : ) The first two days it was cool, and even cold in the evenings. You can't go out on the street without a jacket on a bike. During the day no more than +22, in the evening +10 In the morning a blouse on a coat hanger and to the pool, uncovered and on a sunbed, then it's warm. On the beach after 10 o'clock a cold strong wind rose and it was very uncomfortable to go in, or rather, then get out of the water. And the sea itself is not warm only 19-20! But then the weather improved and it was about +35 in the sun when I just wanted to take a dip, even if it was in such a cool sea. Near the pool, where it was impossible to lie without an umbrella without wind, you will burn out instantly. And the evenings got warmer. At the end of the holiday, we were already running in light sweaters around the hotel in the evening. Well, we said goodbye to Egypt in the rain, which in itself is a rarity!
And in conclusion: the hotel is good, quite up to its stars. Territory well-groomed, green. The rooms are simple, large but in need of a facelift. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, polite and not intrusive. Animation is weak. Suitable for families with children, for fans of kitesurfing.
