Then he explained at the meeting that under the new Egyptian laws, in order to register a tourist with the police, it was necessary to hand over a voucher, ticket, insurance policy and a questionnaire with data. The guide explained that the police put a mark on our registration and in the evening he would return our documents. We conscientiously handed over the documents, which he stapled with us and put away in his folder. When we came to pick up our documents in the evening, there was another guide, Ahmed, who called himself the senior guide, at the guide desk. He said that we did not hand over any documents except vouchers! We offered to call the guide who accepted the documents, but he started yelling that he was sitting next to him and saw everyone what documents we handed over. We talked to him without raising his voice, and he shouted, waved his arms and behaved disgustingly. We suggested calling the police to clarify the situation, then he boiled up even more, started smoking, shouting that he didn’t care and didn’t need to scare him with the police, and in general he had connections there, and then he suddenly remembered that he worked here solely for that to provide us with all kinds of assistance and will kindly make a request to the office for our documents and in 2 days we will be able to receive them. The next day, we and our friends found notes at the door that said: “Come to the reception and pick up your documents. ” We approached, the reception did not know anything and sent us to the guides, and the guides first talked in Arabic, and then said that they told us that in 2 days they would send us new copies of the documents and they did not write notes, they said to come tomorrow evening. We decided that it was just a mockery and requested the documents themselves from the tour agent, and printed them out in the Internet cafe. Since then, the guides turned away at the sight of us and never said hello.
Then a few days of pleasant rest were overshadowed by the theft of 15.000 rubles from the safe. We began to find out with the front office manager, the security manager, who was also rude and guest relation Oksana this problem, to which at first they told us that it was impossible to open the safe, and then how do we know that this particular amount was missing from you. Then they said that this was the first time for them and they had no money and they could only compensate with services. We refused the services and decided to report to the police, for which they began to delay the time, at first they asked to think until the morning, but we insisted that they call the police. After that, we saw that the same staff was talking with other tourists, when they finished, we approached these tourists, and it turned out that they also had money stolen from them and they know people who also had theft, later we are with them with everyone sat at a table by the pool and discussed our problems. And we learned from them that the police do not come in such cases, but you need to go yourself and write a statement, which we did the next day. After our persistent request, the guides provided us with a transfer to and from the police and an interpreter. But upon returning to the hotel, a guide came up with a receipt in Russian, in which there were empty lines to describe the claim / incident, and the rest of the points were ready-made statements in which it was written that our problem was solved and we received compensation. When we wrote about the theft and wrote that the problem had not been solved and we had not received compensation, the guide began to snatch the receipt from our hands, but we managed to sign under our own words, and not under the prepared text. After that, the guide cursed and tried to convince us that we misunderstood what was written. Later in the evening we got a call to the room and asked to come to the reception to solve our problem. We approached, but it turned out that Faruk, the head of the guides, called, they gave us the phone. Faruk said that he knows very well what is written in this receipt and we all misunderstand and in Russia we can complain, but here we need to sign. Then we explained to him that we know the Russian language better than him, we will not let them relieve ourselves of responsibility for what happened and we will file a claim with Coral Travel in Russia!
As for excursions, there are representatives of other tour operators (Tui, Natalie tours) at the hotel who rent a place there and they have the same excursions 1.5-2 times cheaper!
