Arrival and check-in:

We arrived early in the morning via Anex Tour and then the first surprise was waiting for us, the cost of a visa is $ 25, but you pay $ 2 for Anex Tour representatives to sell it to you and paste it in, on the way I saw booths where the visa is written only $ 25 without additional taxes, but I don’t know how true it is, early in the morning all these visa sales points were closed.

It’s not the first time in Egypt and always, me and all my friends buy an Orange SIM card for $ 10 (El King 60) the Internet is very good, there is an application where you can monitor your traffic consumption and even get extra free. goodies and bonuses, and if you fly with a company, the package has a large number of free minutes in Egypt, so you will not get lost and will be able to freely communicate with each other or, for example, call a taxi, although I prefer Uber in Egypt.

Breakfast and Check in:

We had an early arrival and the whole bus went to the Beach Albatros Resort, so we were at the hotel at 8 in the morning, we were immediately put on ribbons and we went to have breakfast. The first thing I noticed was that the plates were very poorly washed. Breakfast is standard, as in all of Egypt. Delicious waffles and pancakes with nutella and all sorts of jams, good cheese like feta or ricotta and terrible sausages.
There are 2 restaurants for breakfast, the main one on the second floor from 07:30 to 10:00 and the restaurant on the first floor from 07:00 to 10:30 (in practice, on the first floor it often opens later, and on the first at 7 am : ) ) )

The choice of food at breakfast in the two restaurants is almost the same, the only difference on the second floor is delicious waffles, a little more pastries and snacks. The advantage of the restaurant on the ground floor is that there are fewer people, no need to queue for pancakes and scrambled eggs, and for waffles you can go up to the second floor.

Check in:

At 8 in the morning after breakfast we were told that they would check us in no earlier than 10 -12 and so that we would not forget that they could even 14:00, I tried to explain that we have three small children and it’s hard for them after the flight, but they also explained to me that the hotel does not currently have a suitable room for us even for extra. payment. We were sent to a closet with suitcases, we took our things, changed clothes and went to the beach.

Closer to 12:00, we were given a room with the children, the room was really just chic, spacious near the kindergarten on the second floor with sea views, two balconies, a dressing room, 2 beds: one king size extra bed and a sofa bed. The third child was inscribed in a room with friends, but we all accommodated here without any problems. Of the minuses in the room, this is that the air conditioners were poorly cleaned and the children had a cough and snot if they worked all night, as well as annoying mosquitoes. Take all kinds of sprays and fumigators with you, it was not a local fumigator that saved us, nor a spray of local production, bought at a pharmacy.

Food:
The choice of food seems to be varied and the most delicious dishes were at the Сulina restaurant for dinner (this is “supposedly” Italian cuisine), but the restaurant is not big, and there are an unrealistic number of people who want to dine in it an hour before opening “our people” “clog” their seats for a table in very exotic ways, someone throws beach towels on the table, someone has a bag, phone, backpack and even swimming trunks; ))) Yes, we saw such a table reserve.

Meals of the day on the grill or some crazy dishes: Lamb, local chebureks, kebabs are always cooked in the restaurant on the second floor.

Food during the day is also good, in the CLUB MC snack bar near the beach there is always something to eat between breakfast, lunch and dinner, these are burgers, french fries, hot dogs, shawarma, delicious pizza, they always cook different ones and you randomly get a piece depending on the place queue : ))

But in general, in terms of food, even super specialties are all very insipid, you can’t eat a lot of them, and you don’t enjoy food.
During this period, the variety of fruits is not great, delicious watermelons and melons, still worthy of plums, that's about it. Mango was not given in June, maybe not the season. For salads and sweets, too.

Alcohol and drinks:

There are problems with alcohol here, it's better to take a bottle of something good in the dutik with you. Alcohol is poured into plastic and cardboard glasses, 4 glasses go as one not big. We rested 1.5 years ago in a hotel of a higher class, although there was local, but quite worthy elite alcohol. Here I understood what Egyptian alcohol is, it is very weak and you need to drink a lot in order to feel at least a minimal effect. For tips at dinner, the bartender on the first floor had a good whiskey; ) The best cocktails were in the lobby in glass glasses, but even there they often tried to pour them into a cardboard one and even a tip did not stimulate them : ((

Of the good beer, Egyptian Stella is light beer, it is in all hotels, there was also on tap, this is a big plus, but on the beach again I had to take not even four but 8 glasses of beer (to go for one)

Cola, Mirinda and Sodavaya are pouring directly from the machines, dial for yourself.

A very good coffee house Columbus Coffee, some local Starbucks, they were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee, the coffee is top there, there are also coffee drinks for children.

Also on the square near the screen there is a Bistro, during the day you can take ice cream and pancakes there. Ice cream is good. True, I almost once robbed the ice cream man, for having scored the children in large glasses; ))

Beach:

The beach is very cool, it is well cleaned, sand is brought, there are many lifeguards of whistlers, sometimes very annoying. The bay is great for kids.
The main disadvantage of the beach is that vacationers litter and do not appreciate human labor, and also that the beach is already busy from 6 in the morning and people throw their towels and in the end they may not come to the beach, all this is a big disgusting thing.

No reefs, dirty beaches, Hurghada mud:

The sea in Hurghada is very shallow, there are few reefs, on all the islands where tourists are taken, you will see corals in the same amount as on every beach of a hotel in Sharm, so if you like corals, you are definitely not here. Hurghada has a lot of garbage, landfills, even the wild beach near Rixos is super dirty, if you like to dive and swim far away, you are provided with a company of plastic bags. In Hurghada for the first time and after Sharm, the dirt, the city and the peeled palm trees, strong winds and sandstorms all disappointed.

But don't worry, again the hotel has a nice beach without garbage, but don't be pigs, clean up after yourself and sort the garbage! ! !

From entertainment:
A small water park - it’s nice to move out a couple of times, a lot of pools and jacuzzis, but you don’t want to swim in them, especially when locals come for the weekend and sit there ((There is a children’s water park, the water in the pools was warm

The child took a sip of water in the pool of the children's water park and I predicted that the next day would be fun, everything was like vomiting, fever, diarrhea, there is a good pharmacy in Albatros Palace, the prices are adequate, even lower than in Ukraine. The second child also became ill after a couple of days, talking with parents a lot of children got poisoned in restaurants, so be careful, it spoiled the rest.

Service and staff issues:

A large number of unfriendly staff, you need to beg for water or juice, explaining that this is additional for children, in general it seems that the staff is tasked with saving as much as possible, but it’s overkill to give water at night (((

Redneck:
Vacationers in zhlobstve also succeed, they bring food to the room, and the staff does not specifically clean, do not clean up after themselves on the beach, pour cola into bottles, collect a lot of food with them in bags and vessels (where do they put it? ? ? there is always something have a bite to eat) Well, I already said about the zhlobstvo on the part of the hotel, it was clearly better here before, there were more restaurants and Monin syrups were changed to local ones.

Entertainment:

For children, in the evening they show Buba on the big screen, the standard mini-disco program, but there were a lot of children on the mini disco and it was very loud, our children liked it, but they left earlier because of the loud sound, but for some children it’s a thrill to yell into the speakers )))

For adults, a good entertainment program with live music. A couple of times even a decent DJ - set was with a good Deep House.

If you are looking for adventure this hotel is not for you, basically everyone here is with children and large families.
There were a couple of women who chose the hotel by mistake, they were definitely lonely )))

Watched good parties at the hotel next door to Albatros Palace. There's definitely entertainment and the beach is more mature than family.

For sports:

A good tennis court, several small gyms and a mini football field, there is also mini golf, a diving center and kite surfing. A very cool gym in the Aquapark hotel, there is also an Olympic pool and treadmills, but if you settle there and walk on foot to the sea, you are definitely an athlete, there seem to be buses from the water park directly to the sea, but I didn’t see them.


The hookah bar does not work, but the hotel has a lounge area for adults with hookahs, it looks good, but alas, it does not work.

Shopping mall nearby:
