There are very few guests in the hotel, maybe because of the winds and cool water in the sea. Although we swam a little every day. (I especially liked the boat trip with fishing to Paradise Island: we bought it as a guide, the prices are reasonable, Join Up and the Sky Up airline are pleasing).

I can say about the Cleopatra Luxury Resort Makadi Bay that it is good, we liked everything: the food, the animators, and everything else. The pools are amazing, the rooms are great. Minus - the sea, it is not there at all, since at low tide, you can walk 1 km and it will be knee-deep, even less. As usual, upon arrival, we were put in a bad room, then we moved to another, as I understand it, this is the standard for Egypt, such a settlement.

The territory is pleasant, everything is pleasing to the eye, clean, well-groomed, there is where to take good photos for memory, there is a warm pool, and this is a big plus. We had to walk a little to the beach, there were no problems with sunbeds. The beach is quite roomy, but it’s really only possible to swim from the pier, it wasn’t a problem for us, but we really didn’t like the water temperature, it’s just cold, the locals say they don’t remember such a cold winter, God forbid that the sea warms up by May. So it was really not possible to enjoy the underwater world, but the hotel is not to blame, this must be understood. During the season, the price here will be twice as high, that's for sure. We tried to walk a lot along the beach, went to the neighbors, just went around the whole of Makadi and the best beach of course at the Tia hotel, it is huge, sandy with excellent entry into the water, but in terms of its level, the level of food and service is exactly an order of magnitude lower, if not more. We really liked the food at the hotel, everything is very tasty and varied, there is always a choice, both meat dishes and poultry and vegetable dishes, I generally keep quiet about side dishes and desserts. Alcohol is not bad, so you probably can not take it with you. The staff is all trained, neatly dressed, they are constantly interested in the quality of the rest, one guy even refused to take a tip, it's funny of course. The animation at the hotel is not bad, we really didn’t go during the day, but in the evening we were never bored, there were always very interesting performances with the participation of invited artists, and our guys didn’t miss, the general atmosphere, of course, is very positive. Of the minuses, I can only note the inflated prices for various additional services or trips, but this is understandable, since it is far from the city and there are not many alternatives. The only option is to try to order something on the Internet, as we, for example, visited Cairo and twice went on a super desert safari through tibatur on quadrics, we were already on fire to buy such an ATV. The contingent of tourists was very decent, mostly Western Europeans, there are very few Russian speakers, there may not even be, there are also a few rich Arabs with excellent English, at least it was in our race. So I definitely advise the hotel, and if, for example, you don’t like the beach or entering the sea, then in general it’s not so far to go with the neighbors, no one drove us away, although we even took one sunbed for ourselves for a while, in short, I definitely recommend this region.

I will say that I really liked the beach, we came at about eight and there were always two free sunbeds nearby. When we wanted to snorkel and watch the underwater life, we went to the pier, but it is long, you can burn until you get there, but there is something to see, there are interesting corals, we saw both a stingray and a moray eel, and you can’t count small multi-colored fish. And when you just sunbathed, it is a very convenient entrance to the sea, it’s even convenient that it’s shallow, you can quickly dip or freshen up and back to the sunbed. We went to volleyball, there is a football field, my husband went to the gym for exercise machines a couple of times, he says that they are normal. There are several pools, here it is sometimes a problem to take a sunbed, but we came to the sea, there is a pool and houses, so we didn’t rest there. About the animation, I’ll say that it exists, here who needs what from the rest, you can always play something with them, they cope with this. In the evening, animation for fans, something they liked, something not, but whoever is in Egypt for the first time, it will probably be interesting. Prices on site and nearby in stores are naturally overpriced for everything, since the city is far away, so do not forget the little things like sunscreen at home.
