- monotonous and very poor food, the fruits were green bananas, hard apples and bitter kumquat
- there is no animation for adults, there are no activities during the day, in the evening 20 minutes of dancers in tattered costumes and that's it. Once a week there was a party on the beach, it was the only interesting evening.
- there are no paper napkins ANYWHERE! They don't give them even if you ask, in the food court near the water park the child got smeared with ketchup and when we asked for a napkin they refused and waved us away, we had to go to the room to wash our hands. This is absurd, there are none in the dining room either, at the bar too.
- there is a critical shortage of waiters and bartenders, it is unrealistic to wait for your glass of wine or beer at dinner, if you go to the bar for it yourself and you manage to push your way to it, they ask you to sit down and promise to come over, as a result, without waiting, you wash it all down with water and leave.
- the tides are pronounced, the beach is very long and shallow, covered with dead corals, it is problematic/impossible for children to swim.
- the hotel is remote, there is only desert around, going to some store to even buy a mango costs at least 15-20 dollars one way.
- along the paths, there are uncovered low cacti planted, which the child injured his leg very deeply twice.
Pros:
- fairly updated, neat rooms
- many pools, vacationers are evenly distributed throughout the territory and you can always find a quiet place to read a book
- the reef is quite lively and interesting for Hurghada
- good wifi throughout the hotel
- the staff is polite, at the reception they immediately changed the room from the old to the updated one without extra charge
- enough sunbeds and a boar (free) on the beach
- after eviction, they did not cut off the bracelets and allowed to use the infrastructure, including the dining room.
You can go if there is a good price and there are no special expectations, just to bask in the sun and swim in the pool or from the pontoon in the sea.
Minuses. Very monotonous food throughout the holiday. There are no seafood. Elevators don't work well. At 2 bars they refused to give water until 10 am (just water, not a cocktail or something else). A lot of Arabs from the rest. Dirty swing chairs on the embankment. The animation in the first 5 days was very weak, there was little interaction with the audience, it was very boring. The last 2 days were better, but it was already the end of the holiday.
By the way, our room was free for at least a month before our arrival, since a half-centimeter layer of dust was not only on the entire surface of the room, but also on the bed and towels (you spend your hand and the whole hand is in "powder" and the children and I had to breathe this for an extra charge in 20 bucks per room). Towels, gels/shampoos, etc. were designed for 2 (although there were 4 of us with children). We were given the key to the room 1 (for 4). Declared in the services of a babysitter, which we really counted on when we planned the trip, because we wanted to visit excursions, no! As they explained to us because the hotel is new... why do you declare then the nanny in the services? This is a blatant deception of tourists!! ! The kids club was closed. They asked for a potty for the child - they refused (although they should be in the kids club).
Asked to bring breakfast to the room - they said they have no one to do it. They even offered to pay for it, because. we went on an excursion at 4 in the morning and wanted the children to eat in the room (because the smaller child did not like the restaurant and she ran away from there whenever possible, hoping for an older child who was 12 years old in this matter). They brought their dry rations to the children, and his children ate in the room until dinner. Thanks to the staff at the reception, and the Russian-speaking dark-haired girl personally (I don’t remember her name, Irina seems to be) the main thing is that "we always go towards the client. " THIS IS THE ARAB IN THE ROOM OPPOSITE REPEATEDLY BRING FOOD AND THERE WAS SOMEONE! EVEN THEIR BASKET WITH FRUIT WAITED AT THE SETTLEMENT, AND NOT DUST, LIKE US!
The friends who came with us did not have air conditioning, a safe, a towel holder fell on their heads, door handles fell off (like ours), they refused to change the room (they said plus another 10 dollars to pay extra to those 20 already paid for the room) and there was also dust , though slightly less than ours. The opening of the water park was announced on 05.05 (in fact, this was one of the main criteria in choosing a hotel, because we were traveling with children) they opened on 14.05. For the money spent, we could have taken a much better hotel without the water park.
The assortment in the restaurant was poor, none of the waiters approached and did not offer drinks not in the main restaurant, nor in the pool bars, etc. they expanded the assortment only when the Arabs filled the hotel for 3 days of the holidays, but even here the restaurant could not cope, the food quickly ended, there were no empty tables, the tables were very dirty with food leftovers, and they did not have time to clean the dishes (we cleaned ourselves), plates / There weren't enough cutlery/napkins for everyone. The only people who earn their salaries at this hotel are the animators. Well done guys, give all the best, try very hard.
Conclusion: the hotel is far from 5, the service is very, very weak, they threw money and their vacation down the drain, it would be better to choose a proven hotel with normal service and attitude towards customers. Wouldn't recommend here again or recommend to friends.
Early check-in paid $ 20 and settled us at 7 am.
The room is very modern, cozy and clean. The room has everything you need.
The food is very good, tasty and varied. The main restaurant offers such delicious and varied food that we didn't go to other restaurants.
Wonderful animation all day long and for every taste! The animator girls are very friendly, tactful and offer animation very actively - it is impossible to resist and starting with one activity, you get involved and participate in several already))) I highly recommend the hotel, very much!
P. S. I will miss playing "cube"! Oksana, thank you for making me fall in love with this game!! !
Asked for breakfast, said after 10 on the beach.
The hotel shows that it was recently built (2018), everything is fresh, clean and modern. There are rooms overlooking the pool or the neighboring hotel (there is a wasteland and a side view of the sea). The hotel is 80% full.
By room: good bedding, comfortable mattress. Big Plasma. Everything is new, modern design.
In the bar: mineral water and Fanta. Kettle, coffee, tea, sugar. In the bathroom: gel soap, shampoo.
No bathrobes, no slippers.
Hot water outages!
In the bar on the beach (and in the main bar) drinks in paper cups, good bottled beer, all cocktails on rum.
There are three a la carte restaurants (1 visit for free, by appointment in Italian and Mexican) and one paid Chinese.
Breakfast: scrambled eggs, eggs, vegetables, sausage, cheese, Feta, muesli, yogurt, toast, pancakes, croissants, various pastries, fruits.
Lunch: 2-3 soups, rice, pasta, fresh and steamed vegetables, fried chicken, french fries, meat goulash, salads, apples, oranges, dates, bananas, mini cakes.
There is a diet corner (boiled vegetables, chicken, rice, then fish).
There are tables outside but the crows steal the food from the plates.
Dinner: the same as for lunch, plus deep-fried fish, baked beef - delicious, quails. For dinner, grilled and meat dishes change every day, something new, then kebab, then sauteed with meat, then fried or stewed.
Small selection but delicious food. Weak desserts and not enough fruit.
But you get your own food!
Internet is in the room - weak, not on the beach
Animation: Darts, fitness, yoga, disco, karaoke. Performances by visiting artists (fakir show, etc. ), but not every day.
Children's animation at 20:30, for children there is popcorn and cotton candy.
Swimming pool adult +23 children's part is warmer. Sea water pool under renovation.
Building a water park.
The entrance to the sea from the pontoon is immediately up to the neck of an adult, the bottom is sand.
To summarize: for 18 thousand UAH / 2 for 7 nights - great).
clean, fresh, delicious. The hotel is not a party hotel, but rather for a +/- relaxing holiday, you can also relax. Will complete the water park with children will be super. There are only bushes / flowers on the territory, lovers of palm trees and landscapes are not here.
Further - the air conditioners in these rooms practically do not work and in order to repair them "you need to sit for 10 minutes with local electricians (who also just sit and do nothing, but stare blankly at the wall programmer together) and he must, after looking at it for 10 minutes to earn it yourself". . . Well, or let's give you the same rooms that were originally offered without balconies and above the shops... Thresh... Next - I'm used to army semi-Spartan conditions, but on vacation I don't want to wake up to the roar of a fire department sirens at 03-40 AM PRACTICALLY THROUGH THE NIGHT!! ! People run out of the rooms half-naked into the corridors, no one understands what happened... Sometimes it worked just in the middle of the day... More... For the first time I lived in a hotel that had problems with electricity... From 12 days 2 days periodically the power went out on the territory. . . Further. . . Internet is not available everywhere, but in the rooms it is very good, but it works from smart TV. There are TVs in all rooms, but not all have a program for routing and Internet supply - the children had a room, my wife and I did not - the Etisalat operator card bought at the airport helped out...
A separate topic is the children of the owner of the hotel - there are three of them, they are about 7 to 12 years old (+ -) - the rules are not written for them - they can freely kick the animators in the ass during the performance, with the full stands of the amphitheater of the evening program, they drive around a roller-skating restaurant at a time when there is not crowded, they easily climb to the distribution without a queue and touch the food with their hands - and the staff is afraid to say a word to them... In addition, part of the hotel is villas and apartments that are bought out by people as suburban houses and apartments - and it’s not very pleasant to watch how the guards, shouting and swearing, drive people around the hotel, shouting that “you can’t be here, you can’t go there, wait - animation is not for “owners” (as the apartment owners are called), but for hotel guests... In short, that still atmosphere... Further... The beach is a separate story - such a gas station... I saw the last time on the beach I don’t even remember where... It just stupidly doesn’t clean up - the sunbeds are trimmed with birds and they are simply not washed, and many guests come it’s good to cover bird excrement with towels and pretend that everything is ok... And the sunbeds themselves are so old and faded that it’s impossible to recognize their original color in half... To compare the beaches, look at the neighboring beach - it smoothly passes one into the other - this the beach of the Tropitel hotel, which is simpler than Gravity in every respect, but has a perfectly clean and even beach. . .
More. . . Room cleaning - often happens once every 2 days. . . 5-star hotel, elite segment. . . Tour for almost 3000 bucks for 4. . . More. . . The receptionist has such a scam in the lobby guests who extend the room on the day of departure, like us - we needed one of the two rooms so as not to hang around from 12-00 to 17-00 (before the transfer) in the lobby - we are for its extension after the check-out from 12-00 to 17-00 honestly paid 50 dollars (and it's expensive - Stella Di Mare extends rooms for 30 and many too, and some guests who provide a room for more than 10 days before the transfer) the night before the day of departure... The receptionist who was on the shift said that you would hand over the key cards for the second room when leaving for the airport, that you don’t have to run at 12-00 and hand it in separately, since this number will be automatically blocked at 12-00, and the key cards will become invalid... Well, ok, we think it’s class! , you don’t have to run around wasting precious minutes that you can spend by the sea on the day of departure... The result is when you return an extended one and for previously paid room at 17:00 we were demanded another 50 dollars for the room that was empty and blocked from 12:00, and on the argument that the receptionist said the opposite in the evening, that you would hand over the keys all together and we could not physically use the number, as the doors were locked the response was "don't want to pay $50, pay at least $30". . . And this is a 5 star hotel that positions itself as "elite segment", ARE YOU SERIOUS???!! ! We gave 30, although we could not give it and send an insolent person to the lobby on an "interesting journey"...
On the positive side - the animators are just great - they pull out all the negativity around the hotel on themselves and their good attitude towards guests, interesting shows, contests, activities and other things. Special thanks to Lesha and Ksyusha and Sem - you are super! Thank you for keeping our kids busy with you! The staff of bars and canteens are also very good guys, everyone is friendly, helpful, there are no extortions, empty looks through you, etc. chefs used to cook for demanding customers before the pandemic - and they cook the same way now, when the bulk of vacationers (about 95%) are not demanding Europeans as before, but Egyptians from Cairo and other cities... The sea is super, the reef is cool, the fish a lot - but this is not the merit of the hotel... At the end, unfortunately I want to say that due to the totality of negativity, which often arises out of the blue right out of thin air - we do not recommend this hotel to anyone, we ourselves do not even come here... There are many decent hotels around in Sahal Hasheesh where a tourist can spend his money with benefit and pleasure.
The hotel itself was built to put it mildly of poor quality, the shower dangles, the toilet dangles, the door to the room closes tightly. No soundproofing. They constantly drill something, clog it, since we are with a child, the extra sound is a little annoying. The beach on the sea is normal, though adults can swim only from the pier, and then the pier is not from our pool, but from the neighboring one, respectively, the sea, you can’t swim calmly.
The animators are trying, they approach everyone, they ask if they like everything, if everything suits them, but in the evenings they haven’t seen any shows yet, it’s boring. but in Ukraine they do much better, although they thought it would be the other way around. Drinks at the bar and in principle any drink other than water is terrible! It seems that they dilute with water and beer and wine and juices, cocktails are just tin. They asked for mojitos, they said that they are made only in the evenings, it is not clear why... their mojitos are water, lime, syrup and that's it! Champagne paid! Rum, whiskey, everything is free!
Nutrition. Here I would give them 4 points out of 5, there is no children's menu! A 3-year-old child has practically nothing to eat! Only if your child eats sausages, then you can go, and we always didn’t know what to take more or less healthy and not very fried, because the restaurant is designed for adults and older children. The employees themselves are friendly, trying to please, and thanks for that.
Food 10 out of 10. Alcohol is common in Egypt. The beer is good. My husband and I drank wine at dinner, quite good, better than many domestic wines. The food is varied and quite tasty. Always found something new and tasty.
Well done animators! I liked the rest very much! In comparison with other hotels (not the first time in Egypt) - just super!
