Hello everybody. While the memories are fresh, I write a true review !! ! Rested with my husband from 11.02 to 21.02. 2018. We are from the city of Balashikha near Moscow. And since my husband's vacation is stable in February, the question arose of where to go on vacation. I didn’t want to go to Asia because of the climate, but the climate of Egypt suits us very well. But, as everyone knows, it is closed for us (((. Nothing is impossible for me, and if I want something, then by hook or by crook I get it. I considered 2 options. The first is on my own through Istanbul, the second through the Belarusian tour agent. After weighing all the pros and cons, I settled on the second option. We consulted with my husband and decided that we were flying to Hurghada, because we wanted to visit the pyramids. The hotel was chosen for a long time and carefully. Having collected all the information, the choice was stopped at the Old Palace. It was taken into account to the smallest detail, bribed that the hotel is located in a windless bay in a closed and guarded village, as well as the fact that near the hotel there is a very beautiful Arrival Piazza promenade which we could visit daily and enjoy the beauty for free. When tourists from Hurghada specially buy excursions there. As soon as we made a choice, I contacted a tour agent in Minsk and we booked a tour (if anyone is interested, I will write the details in a personal message). 12 hours before departure, we drove to Minsk by car. Anya about 8 hours of slow driving. the route is ideal, we passed the border in transit. The car was left in the parking lot on the right, almost reaching the airport. We flew with Belavia, on a brand new Boeing. Upon arrival, we were met by the host of the Anex tour and delivered to the hotel without any incidents. At the hotel, we were immediately put on bracelets and sent to the lobby bar. For $75, at my request, we were rebooked a room with a sea view. True, the view was blocked by 2 palm trees growing next to the balcony. But my husband said that everything suits him, which means that even more so for me, and we did not choose anymore.
About the number. After reading the reviews, I was preparing for the worst, but everything turned out to be not as many write. Yes, the furniture in the rooms of the main building is a bit tired, BUT everything worked properly. The room has a large double bed, 2 bedside tables, a dressing table with a mirror and a bunch of drawers, a large spacious wardrobe, a chest of drawers, an easy chair, a glass table with chairs and a TV with at least 2 Russian channels (maybe more). On the balcony there is also a glass table and 2 armchairs. Everything was in perfect condition!! ! There was one minus for me, since we rested in February, and in Egypt it is winter, then all the hotel air conditioners are set to heating mode, and the air temperature in the sun exceeded 30 degrees, then I was hot in the room. The problem was solved immediately, a fan was brought to the room. For this and much more, I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Mary's guest relations. All requests were fulfilled with lightning speed, there was never a refusal in anything. Always listens and gives advice. very kind and sweet girl. I think that this is a godsend for the hotel, it is clear that Maria is passionate about her work and is trying her best to make an already fabulous vacation even more fabulous! Special thanks for the compliments and bathrobes with slippers that we were not supposed to!
About food. The choice of food is large. Breakfast was always pancakes, scrambled eggs, omelets, toast, all sorts of buns, muesli, cereal, sausages, croutons and something else. For lunch, always 2 types of soup, fish, chicken, beef, 3 types of potatoes, rice, pasta, grill. I am silent about desserts, the choice was huge and everything was very tasty. For those who wrote in their reviews that they were not satisfied with the menu, I can say that you gentlemen got drunk!! ! Everything was enough and varied, the proof of this is the 3 kg that I gained in 10 days. The staff is all polite and smiling, everyone says hello and is interested in how the rest is going. At the pool bar they always drank coffee, quite decent, there you could also have a bite to eat and enjoy ice cream.

The sea is gorgeous, the entrance is smooth and sandy. There is always a lifeguard sitting on the tower and making sure that vacationers do not swim behind the buoys. Umbrellas with sun loungers stand at a decent distance from each other and no one interfered with anyone. We consider ourselves lucky with the weather. Out of 10 days, only a couple of days were overcast and windy. All other days were hot. In the evenings, almost always there was a complete calm. After reading the reviews, I got half a suitcase of warm clothes, but in vain! In addition to the sweatshirt and denim boyfriends, which I wore a couple of times and only late in the evening, nothing came in handy.
The hotel itself is quiet for a relaxing measured rest. From entertainment in the evenings, animation by animators. We did not go, as we preferred to walk along the bay with my husband and enjoy the views. I recommend the hotel and the bay itself to those who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle. Walking in the evenings along the promenade along the other hotels, the couple got the impression that we were alone in the whole bay. Only occasionally did we come across vacationers. I also recommend going to the pier after sunset, a lot of fish swim there. Also, one day dolphins came to our beach, it was great. I also advise you to definitely rent an electric car and drive the whole bay on it and you will see all the beauty of the bay. I think that the rest was a success at 100%. Thanks to the Minsk travel agent, thanks to Maria, thanks to all the hotel staff!! ! If there were any disadvantages, they were all solvable or so insignificant that I didn’t even want to think about them. I advise everyone, take a good mood with you in your suitcase and you are guaranteed a great vacation. And if you initially go looking for cons, then you will find them in the most luxurious and expensive hotel!
It was an unforgettable vacation! And even if Egypt is never opened for us, we will still go there!! ! And we will definitely return to OLD PALACE and Sahl Hasheesh! I will gladly answer all questions.
P. S During the holidays, I lost my favorite T-shirt, the color is light mint, there is a pocket on the left chest with a picture of a giraffe. Most likely it was blown away by the wind on the beach. Suddenly you are lucky and my review will be read by the one who found it))).
