Hello. For a long time they chose a good place to stay, there were many offers, but in each there was something wrong. After all, it was not the first time they rested in Egypt (Sham-a-sheikh). And so we decided to take a chance and go to Hurghada in Sahal Hasheesh. To be honest, the association of the word Hurghada was very alarming, I had heard too much negativity about this place and therefore treated it with caution. One thing was pleasing that our complex is 20 km from the city center - in the desert. We bought a tour through the TUI operator. Departure from Boryspil (wind rose) was planned at 12.15, but actually took off with a slight delay of half an hour. The flight went well. I think that all travelers know that they no longer feed on the plane, only some water and an assortment of goods with blown fries.
Arrived in Hurghada around 16:00 local time. And then the usual procedure; customs, passport control, meeting the guide (optional purchase of an Egyptian SIM card for the Internet), seating on buses and on the way to your destination. Leaving the bus at the entrance to the complex, we were checked by the security service, the porter took the suitcases to the reception, and we immediately, filling out the questionnaire, put on bracelets and settled in the room. The room stock is tired, there is an unpleasant smell in the room. In our presence, they checked the serviceability of plumbing fixtures, air conditioning, TV, smiled sweetly and left. Of course, we immediately ventilated the room, put all things in their places and went around the territory. As elsewhere throughout Egypt, there are date palms, a lot of grass, flowers, cacti and a well-groomed area (the photos on the sites are true).
Now the topic of food. When choosing a tour in the reviews, there were complaints about Egyptian cuisine, but this is not so. The products are always fresh, the choice is not so big, for that you eat any dish with pleasure. In the morning, sometimes a small queue for an omelet. There is always fish, chicken or fish is cooked on the grill every day. It happens that they bake a whole turkey. But what is cooked on the grill is given in portions and fruits, basically, too. Fruits in assortment (melons, watermelons, dates, apples, pears, grapes, bananas and even mangoes). On Mondays, shrimp on the grill. Alcohol is so-so. The sweets are delicious, as are the yoghurts.

Now the beach. Umbrellas and sun loungers are always free. There is no point in running and occupying in the morning. The distance between them is decent. In addition, there are windbreaks. The first places are provided for the disabled, they are even marked with appropriate signs and no one is allowed in except for them. They have a special approach to this category. They help a person in transportation, care and even entertain, and it's all free. The sea is clean, without waves, the beach with a gentle entry, sand everywhere. There is one place with a small coral reef on the left side of the beach. I constantly clean the shore, garbage cans are everywhere. Once a day, they even collect pebbles along the beach in a separate bag. WF is even on the beach, sometimes the quality wants to be better. Nearby there are operating hotels with vacationers and many new buildings, both frozen and under construction. But there is no noise from construction sites.
There is a promenade along the beach, here you can rent an electric car for $ 20 per hour, an electric bike for 13 or a simple bike for 5. I recommend a ride along the embankment, just look at other hotels and compare. It seemed to me that our beach is the best, there are no piers and a good entry into the sea without slippers. In the evening, you can also walk this path along the coast. Be sure to visit the fountain square, it is very close. Well done, built a miracle in the desert. There are also shops and pharmacies nearby with corresponding prices for foreign tourists.
It's boring in the evening, the animation is mainly for children. Animators from Ukraine and locals try to attract volleyball, exercises and games in the pool during the day, but there are few who want to. Representatives of various kinds of entertainment, massages and tour agencies walk along the beach. We went on a sea voyage but were not satisfied with the service and unsanitary conditions on the yacht. In addition, they are taken to the island to swim along with clouds of Arabs (noise, screams of children and the scorching sun, there is nowhere to hide).
At the end of the rest, the room is rented as elsewhere until 12. They immediately remove the bracelet for you and everything is closed to you. In no bar will they give you anything and they will not let you dine in a restaurant. An exception may be when you arrive late and you missed your lunch, but you have to tell them at the reception desk. Then you will be given a coupon for lunch. Yes, there are two alacartes, I forgot about them, Brazilian and Italian. We did not go there because everything was fine in the main restaurant.
You ask me if I would go there again and I will answer that YES, I would go. The hotel deserves respect and everything in it is fine, but the little things are everywhere and they do not spoil the rest.
