Hi all! We just returned from a trip to Egypt, where we stayed at the Baron Resort Sharm El Sheikh and, without delay, decided to write everything that we managed to see and hear.

Initially, when choosing a tour, one of the main requirements for a hotel was the availability and high-quality work of the Internet, since 75% of the time I had to work on a laptop (the specifics of the profession). The choice fell on Baron, as it is recommended by tripadvisor. ru and also puts it in the ranking of the 15 best hotels in Egypt (There will be a separate question for the site, according to what criteria such high ratings are set).

We arrived at the hotel after 22-00 local time.

Upon arrival, there were no special and pleasant meetings from the hotel side, as described in previous comments. No one appeared with glasses of drinks and wreaths, as they meet local Egyptians and Arabs. We arrived very hungry and had to ask several times to be allowed to eat at the restaurant.

On about the sixth attempt, they reluctantly opened the restaurant, despite the fact that about 10 new hungry guests arrived.

I got a room with a sea view - well, of course, not without additional stimulating "conversations" at the reception. If there are no such incentives, everyone is settled in the farthest rooms with a view of the stones that remained after the construction.

The room is spacious, but everything is very old, worn out. The Internet in the room almost did not work, and the search for a local IT specialist was not crowned with much success. As it turned out, one day he prayed for half a day, then he was busy - at the front desk they only promise, but do nothing to solve the problem. In general, all the time I had to work in the hotel lobby, where there was at least some kind of Internet.

The lobby is very noisy - the hotel rested mostly Arabs who have no idea about culture.
Constant screams, turn on the video on the phone for the whole room and everyone massively looks at all the sound, legs lift up on the table, yell and run like crazy in different directions. There is not the slightest hint in their head that they can interfere with anyone. There are many vacationers with small children and hysterics and screams are constantly heard.

In terms of pluses, it is worth highlighting the impeccable work in the lobby of girls from the Philippines, especially Stefania, who pleased with delicious cocktails and incredible attention, always with a smile and good mood.

It is also worth mentioning the flies in the lobby, which are just slowly but surely eating you!

The beach at the hotel is spacious, clean, the sand is constantly leveled, there are a lot of sunbeds, 5% are occupied by strength. But it is worth mentioning the pipe on the beach, from which sewage flows into the sea (photo attached).

The corals in the sea are bad, almost all dead and covered with sand due to the constant tides.
We recommend moving one and a half kilometers to the right, if you are facing the sea. There are more beautiful corals and more fish.


Service on the beach at the bar is terrible! On the first day, at the request of the waiter to prepare cocktails, he rudely replied that if you are resting, then rest - and if you want a cocktail, then take my place and work. In the future, they tried to bypass this bar by the tenth road.

There are also constant waves on the sea due to strong winds. Those who swim poorly can get hurt on sharp corals.

The food at the hotel is varied and tasty, but only the food that is under the closed dishes. Sweets and salads are made from the fact that they didn’t eat from the main one, there was always some smell of stale. Sweets are monotonous and not tasty. Fruit available.

The service in the restaurant was remembered by the constant demand of the staff to sit in seats closer to the distribution, so as not to dirty the already cleaned tables.
Only after a "polite" remark from our side, the staff fell behind. In the restaurant itself there is constant noise from cleaning the tables, the waiters are constantly cleaning the cutlery and making a lot of noise. Everyone is slow, you order a drink at the beginning of the meal, they bring it at the end, in 50% of cases they don’t come at all and don’t ask. Crowds spin around the Arabs or one works - ten stand and scratch their tongues. Waiters' clothing deserves special attention! ! ! We probably have never seen such dirty shirts and trousers in our lives - the fabric is blackened, stains from food and drinks are visible. Somehow it even becomes creepy when you imagine how many microbes are on such clothes!

It is worth noting the cleanliness of the territory itself - all lawns are trimmed, constant watering. But it is not clear why they painted the stone curbs with red floor paint?

Particularly interesting began when checking out from the hotel.

Our departure was scheduled for 18:35, at about 11:55 they called and almost ordered us to quickly leave the room. This is despite the fact that we arrived at the hotel on the first day after 22:00, and our day had not yet ended. After the scandal, from the "master's shoulder", they were allowed to stay for 3 more hours and go to eat. At 18:35, no one from the Coral travel travel company came for us, they started to find out, got through to the guide and it turned out that the flight would be delayed for an hour and a half. The hotel should have warned us, but as it is already clear, no one was going to do this. There was no apology or compliment. Guests are treated like cattle! When they were evicted, they said that they were already waiting for guests, but for a separate surcharge they could solve everything ($ 40 for several hours). The bags were taken out into the street at 15-00, so we guarded them all this time, looking out from the lobby.

Unfortunately, this was the WORST hotel I've been to in Egypt!
And we rested only in hotels of recognized world chains. No more foot in there! We are also preparing a request to the tripadvisor website. ru and Coral travel companies - why do they deceive customers and advise hotels that pull at a maximum of 3 stars, passing them off as luxury fives.. .
