A few words about the rest at the Domina Coral Bay hotel. I would be glad if they will be useful to someone in choosing a place of refuge.
The hotel is huge and essentially combines several smaller hotels, of different "star" and distance from the sea. Some buildings are very close to the water, and some are a little further, but everything is within a 5-minute walk (if you wish, you can use the taf-taf - a small bus that runs only within the hotel buildings). All buildings are 2-3-storey, there are a lot of greenery and flowers nearby. The rooms are different, but for me (not putting comfort at the forefront) they are quite decent, clean and comfortable. There is everything you need (shower, toilet, air conditioning, balcony, TV with several Ukrainian and Russian channels). Meals - buffet. In principle, quite tasty, but somewhat monotonous. The set of dishes for breakfast all the days when we ate there, unfortunately, did not change. For dinner, the choice of dishes and variety is greater. You can drink local wine or beer (quite good "Stella"). I was unpleasantly surprised by the need to pay for tea for dinner (not included in all inclusive) about 3 dollars for a cup of tea from a Lipton bag. No brewed tea or coffee is served anywhere in the hotel. Wildness! But I don't think it's just tea. . .
All the shortcomings of the service hides the sea. Warm, good, wonderful beach, one large and several small pontoons is enough for everyone, even with the maximum occupancy of the hotel (we were on May holidays May 3-14.2009). Animators work on the beach, there are many different entertainments. During the day, mainly sports - aerobics, volleyball, water polo. In general, a paradise for active people. Plus, you can swim well (buoys, as such, are not available). Separate buzz - diving. The underwater world is fascinating, you feel like a medium-sized fish in a huge aquarium. At the same time, its inhabitants are not at all embarrassed by you. They don’t give ironing, but they don’t scatter either. In the evening there are discos, clubs with live music, there is a casino. In a word, there is something to do. In the end, you can take a break from the sea (if you can break away from it at all) and go on excursions. We went to Mount Moses (an Orthodox shrine) - hiking up the mountain, meeting the dawn and on the way back visiting the monastery of St. Catherine. A beautiful place, I'll tell you... A good excursion to Cairo, an interesting city, there is something to see, but the local guide was, to put it mildly, not very good. Everything is strictly according to the program - the pyramids, the papyrus museum (more like a small shop selling papyrus at clearly inflated prices), the Egyptian Museum (The best !!! ), a shop with all sorts of smells, oils, medicines, etc. Guides make money by taking tourists directly to these shops, although there are many other similar ones nearby, and maybe even better and cheaper ones. This somewhat spoils the impression of the tour. Rescues only the Egyptian Museum. Indeed, the tour is interesting and worth visiting. Fans of antiquities (and not only) will appreciate the hall of royal mummies, a number of exhibits of the early kingdom and, of course, the tomb of Tutankhamen. In reality, to see everything you need at least 4-5 hours (minimum minimorum), and the unfortunate 2 that they gave us is a gallop through Europe (more precisely, through Africa).

After lunch in a floating restaurant and a short walk along the Nile (not bad impressions, but the Nile is too dirty) they take you to the pyramids. The spectacle is fascinating, but not enough to spend 2 hours there. In a word, the conclusion suggests itself that if the guides were quicker and would like this (which is the main thing), then you could see much more in Cairo (for example, many interesting mosques, an old market, the city center, Tahrir Square, traditional Cairo coffee houses for 2-3 tables, etc. etc. ). As they say, there would be a desire...
And, in general, the impression of the trip is super! The sea and the climate (as of May) hides all the shortcomings of the service, some Egyptian sluggishness, monotony of food and even an abundance of mosquitoes in the rooms.
Good luck vacationers.
