Let me start by saying that I am a very cheerful and positive person. I always smile and go to Egypt for the chic sea, with a bag full of seeds, chocolate, nuts and sweets, to treat and thank the staff for their work. This is not counting $50 for $1, which are also prepared for "thank you". Believe me, but there is no one to give and nothing for... We have never seen such a regime of austerity, greed and disrespect for tourists. Although we understood that we were going to a very budget and modest hotel (we paid about $840 for 10 nights). The arrival was early and around 8 am were at the hotel. At the reception they said that they would settle after 12, but we would have a room after renovation and at our request (we had previously written off on this site with the administrator) closer to the sea We were delighted and gave $ 10))). They settled us at 13-30, room 2601.
Well, what can I tell you. . . there is no smell of renovation. The bathroom looked especially terrible: everything was dirty, rot and mold, the hair dryer was wrapped with electrical tape, and the floor, most likely, had not been washed for many months. Gels, soaps, conditioners were present and thanks for that. Dirty bathroom measuring 1m by 0.5m behind a dirty curtain. The water from the tap for the first 5 minutes flows black-brown in color, then it seems to be clean, but the smell of rot with bleach was always present. The fridge smelled awful, rusty and aging. Everything was covered in dust: TV, bedside tables, shelves in the closet. But the sea is really not very far away, 5-7 minutes walk and the dining room is 2 minutes walk. And the 12-hour road exhausted us so much that we decided not to complain and demand neither replacement nor cleaning. They wiped it themselves as best they could and went to the sea to relieve fatigue.
The sea is great, there are 2 pontoons on the lower level of the beach. But remember, no matter how bad it is for you, you won’t get a glass of water until 10 in the morning. Since the beach bar opens from 10 am, and before that there are locks everywhere! Is it possible to return under a steep mountain back to the dining room for 10 minutes in the heat or take it from your room. But keep in mind that you should have enough water in your room and brush your teeth and drink and pour tea / coffee into the kettle. Another trash: alcohol, incl. beer under the "seven locks" and they will give you it no earlier than 12. A huge crowd of people who want to drink a cold beer draws around the bar counter, and the manager of the castle "solemnly" removes it to the music. And wait another 10 minutes, because they set up a pint of beer, turn on the taps... And at 13-00 it's already lunch, everyone is slowly turning in the direction of distributing food. By the way, in the evening the same bar, at 17-00, will not even give out water. Although the beach is open until 18. Well, good savings.

The pool is not bad, but after two visits, it was given away, without a fight))), to local vacationers. For there were so many of them and they behaved so ugly that it became impossible to rest there. I always have great respect for the Egyptians, they are hard workers. In the middle of the desert to create such an oasis, to contain everything in it, to endure our brother (you must agree, there are different things). But in this hotel, somehow it's the other way around. Most of the staff demonstrates their dislike for ours. This also applies to the reception, where almost all the locals were settled until 12, and we waited. And in our restaurant, 3 pieces are not allowed on one plate, and the locals are served almost 10 each. No, you will not be hungry, just stand in line for the grill two or three times. By the way, almost all locals do not like to stand in line, so you will “kindly” have to skip them.
And yes, the grill chefs in the main restaurant do not know how to cook at all: not only is it an unfortunate kebab the size of a pea pod, but also burnt into coal. And how their hands “tremble” and how they swear (I hope not obscenely) if you ask not for 2 pieces, but for example 3-4. In general, for these and other reasons, we began to have lunch and dinner at the Grill House - a small restaurant near the beach, where the choice of dishes is very modest: (kebab or cutlet, fish, chicken, side dish, soup, salad, greens, some sweets, sometimes melon and grapes), but everything is calm, clean and tolerable. For dinner by appointment, where you will be served the main dish - shish kebab or fish.
We hardly saw any animators. No, they were. But only at the pool, and we, as I wrote earlier, refused it. Yes, and we arrived overseas, which we absorbed to the maximum. Evening show was standard.
There was another incident that my husband and I promised to forget, as we were given an apology and a nice bonus from the administration. Forgot! but the sediment remained. And I am writing this solely because everything happened, again, through increased attention to local vacationers, and an absolute lack of respect, ignoring and not perceiving our tourists. Here somehow everything in this hotel is saturated with irritation to ours.
I’ll say one thing, if you are ready to put up with the fact that you are “second-class”, that they throw a rotten cucumber into your plate, and for a local tourist they run to the kitchen to cut a fresh one, if you are not squeamish and don’t care about dirty, sticky tables in the main restaurant , to a dirty room (although you may be lucky with the room and the cleaner), then in principle... you can relax and enjoy the sea and the sun in full.

This is solely my opinion, maybe someone was fine and lucky with everything, but I'm not ready to rest where I'm not respected and ignored. Not a single hotel in 10 years has left such a residue. And we always left with tears, saying goodbye to the staff and friends made there. And they couldn't wait for the holiday to end.
