Large territory. It was a plus for us. We love to walk. In addition, the presence of a large territory near the hotel allows you to place several large pools, water slides, fountains, there is where to walk when you just got tired of eating, drinking, swimming, lying down : )
For those who like to go down to the restaurant by elevator directly from the room (conditionally) and immediately after two steps to be on the beach - this is not the case.
The territory is looked after: flower bushes are planted, beautiful flower beds using multi-colored stones, trees and bushes are trimmed, watered, etc.
In addition to the main restaurant, only the grill bar worked additionally, which you could go to during lunch and, by appointment, for dinner. Also in theory there is an a la carte Mexican restaurant. We didn't go there, so I can't say anything about it.

On the territory there is also a Bedouin corner, a fish restaurant, a refrigerated chest for ice cream, but all this did not work. Although we were proudly told that the hotel was 100% full and that there were 1620 guests at that time. Why, in this case, half of the existing infrastructure does not work is a question.
Rooms. Once upon a time, they were probably decent, but now they look shabby - peeled wooden surfaces of beds, bedside tables, tables, rust on plumbing, etc. They say that there are rooms after renovation, but, apparently, we were unlucky, we were in building 38. The second room, occupied by our family, had a crack in the bathroom, which oozed brown liquid when stepped on, and there was no cold water in the shower. No one would repair it with us, they would offer to change the room at best, and it was important for us that both rooms were nearby. Therefore, for fear of being in different parts of the hotel, we put up with it and everyone went to the shower in one room, which, of course, was our personal choice, but you must admit, this is the situation with the plumbing in the hotel, which is declared as 5 stars, even Egyptian, not OK - right?
Room cleaning consisted of adding a bottle of water and tucking the top sheet on the bed under the mattress. Although the latter was just for me superfluous. I myself neatly folded everything on the bed in the morning. so that there was no mess in the room, and after refueling, the cleaner had to pull the sheet out from under the mattress every time with difficulty. At the same time, wipe the dust on the surfaces - it was not included in the cleaning plan in any way. Despite the chocolates and the dollar left, even the obviously dirty little towel was never replaced, although it was already unambiguously lying on the bathroom floor, but each time it was only "carefully" lifted from the floor and hung on the dryer.
A separate topic is the ANEX Tour employee working at the hotel. In principle, of course, it has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but since this hotel is mainly populated by tourists from Ukraine and the Russian Federation, it is worth mentioning it. If you want to feel like a nonentity - go to a meeting with a guide from ANEX Tour at this hotel. The essence of his story in a nutshell was that if we, the rogues, arrived at the hotel, having paid only $ 500 from the nose, then sit and do not blather, and if you want service and an excellent attitude towards yourself, then go to Rixos for 5000 c. u. The fact that our flight from Kharkov was postponed several times and as a result was delayed for 10 hours, during which they also managed to freeze without giving any explanation, that at some point it even began to seem that we became one of those "lucky ones" , who did not wait for their departure, and as a result of such a flight delay, they stole from us, in fact, a whole day of rest out of seven, this representative of the tour operator said almost verbatim: “Yes, everything is fine, we have the right to 12 hours there- transfer flights here. " And all this, mind you, is not in response to some claims made by tourists, but simply in the form of information from the guide at the meeting. It's nice, isn't it?

The main advantage for us - which, in fact, this hotel was chosen in the first place, was a fabulously beautiful reef with all its inhabitants, and the absence of wind, which was more important for us than food, drinks and new furniture in the rooms.
