This time, the criteria for choosing a hotel were:

A calm bay (hotel in Naama Bay)
A gently sloping sandy entrance into the sea – the ideal entry point for the hotel, which gradually deepens, sand, and a few rocks.

A vibrant reef for snorkeling – there's a reef at the neighboring hotel (to the left), you can easily walk to it along the shore. The reef is truly beautiful with a large variety of fish. We even saw swordfish, porcupine fish, stingrays, and many others, as well as moray eels and lionfish. However, they aren't active during the day. Coral reefs are a must!

The location is convenient – .10 minutes to the promenade in the center of Naama – where there are shops, entertainment, etc. A 10-15-minute drive to the Old City and Soho.

We go to Egypt for the beauty of the Red Sea and for pleasant walks. If these are your criteria for choosing a hotel, then Gafi is perfect, especially since it's cheap compared to other hotels in Naama.

Much has been written about the hotel itself, but in short: the grounds are small but not bad, with some greenery and beautiful lighting at night. They advertise heated pools, but they were cold during our stay. Three water slides are small. The water isn't heated. The hotel has renovated superior rooms. The deluxe rooms are all in poor condition, and there might be no hot water in the morning or evening, as they heat it with solar panels, but then again, there's no point in staying in your room in Egypt. If you're looking for a beautiful room, this isn't the hotel for you. I won't go into detail about the food, which is a C- out of 5. There are plenty of restaurants and exotic fruit stands nearby – if you're looking for variety, you'll find it.
In the evenings, there's children's entertainment and shows for adults.
In conclusion, if you're going to Egypt not to sit in your room and overeat, but rather to enjoy the sea for a reasonable price, this hotel is perfect.
