Good day everyone. We rested at the HAUZA BEACH RESORT hotel (that's how it is called on everything - from napkins to booklets) in Sharm El Sheikh. At first (before leaving and when buying a tour) there was a little confusion with the "star" of the hotel. On the Internet - 4 stars are written everywhere, and according to the tour company-5. I decided to simply describe our feelings and will give estimates based on my experience. It is not big - two hotels in Hurghada (Lilli Land Beach Club**** and Triton Beach Resort***+), Turkey, Antalya, Kemer (Jasmine Garden***+) and plus a Cyprus hotel (Park Beach*** ) Limassol. And now, theoretically, we rested in a ***** hotel, but practically in ****. We flew to Sharm El Sheikh, got our luggage for about an hour, “left out” 5-10 suitcases, and we flew on a Boeing 747-300 (450 passengers). Plus, it turned out that some suitcases were opened (ours too), dirty, the handles were torn off and broken. We were put on the buses, we got to the hotel normally. We had to wait at the reception - about 20 people came to the hotel.
Actually, in other hotels we were given a "memo" in Russian (what, when, where, where and how much). Well, for the first time. Here, no. We lived in bungalows, round two-story buildings. In general, the hotel has 2 and 3-storey buildings. For the territory, I would put 5. There are no claims to the territory - a large area, quite green + two pools (one with water slides, an artificial waterfall and artificial grottoes), a volleyball court, an amphitheater... Well, in general, a lot of things and on the other hand - this is not a "city in the city, where you have to go from one end to the other. There is a small "zoo" - a dozen or two flamingos + two turtles. It’s a trifle, but it’s nice, especially in the evening to sit near the “living corner”. The beach, well, here is a full-fledged five, you can’t find fault with the beach. The beach is located along the entire territory of the hotel. Good, reliable umbrellas, normal wooden (and plastic by the pools) sun loungers,
mattresses (in some places even small “pillows” for them) in general, come at any time, there is always a place. The only small minus is a small number of fences from the wind. Beach towels are always available. Now about the sea... A coral reef stretches along the beach - from the coast into the sea for 100 meters, along the entire beach. You can swim in two places - in the center, near the volleyball court and at the end of the beach on the right side (if you are facing the sea). They are not allowed to walk on the corals (this is the rest of the space, but it is impossible to swim there, even when the water rises, it covers the coral by 10-20 centimeters. Of course, you can swim in the clear sea (behind the coral) But this is if there is no wind and the waves are not large, yes, and the depth there, the day is not visible despite the transparency of the water. There are walkways in one place, there are 4 stairs into the water. Advice to those who are traveling for the first time, be sure to buy slippers for swimming upon arrival, the bottom is littered with fragments of corals, shells, hedgehogs a lot.

Of course, be sure to bring a mask and snorkel. Everyone swims with a mask - from pioneers to pernsioners. A brazen fish almost jumps out onto the sand. On the beach bar: drinks, ersatz juice, tea, coffee (you can with milk), well, of course, local alcohol, sprite, cola. You can order pizza, but usually you have to stand behind it. Separately, nearby are cocktails, juices, wine (for a fee), even ice cream. You can go up to one of the pools, there is the same assortment in the bar. When you arrive at the reception, they give you two coupons for free visits to two restaurants (if you stay for more than 2 weeks, then 2 times). One restaurant supposedly with Indian cuisine, the other fish. We didn't like it there. We visited and immediately went for lunch. Now about the entertainment on the territory of the hotel, my wife and I are used to going to bed early at home, so here we also went to bed early and did not go anywhere for nightly entertainment. On the territory there are: hookah, an amphitheater, large chess,
During the rest it was not necessary to hear that someone had something missing. The guide, however, strongly recommended. . . do not leave anything open in the room and close the suitcases. We did just that. The room was cleaned every day (wet cleaning, towels, garbage, ashtray). Tipping lay down from time to time, for 1 dollar. In general, everything around is good and excellent if it were not for the kitchen....No, us
my wife and I are people without claims, not spoiled by noble restaurants or fast food, but the way we ate is sorry, not even 3 *. What would be given out in a 5 * hotel as in the army, a ladle-norm? I didn’t even like this, but, let’s say, careless cooking. Those who served in the army will understand me, is it normal, vegetables in a vegetarian dish are cut into such pieces as in the army they cut “unshaven” fat (half a matchbox. And salads? Cabbage struganina with raisins and seasonings? And pasta?
The Germans, as they saw them, well, they built such faces. Well, you ask, there was nothing good and you were starving? No, of course not. Fish fillet - every day and quite tasty, rice, potatoes (or mashed potatoes), there was chicken (no complaints about chicken), meat (it was always written-Beef, but the hard one looked a lot like camel meat . . And an omelet in the morning? So what But it’s the quality of the cooked food, few vegetables, dates, sliced oranges and guava, three times fell on a melon (the size of a large orange, half a melon in the hands), physalis (berry). no complaints, always fresh and always a lot. Tea, although in bags, but I really liked it (especially hibiscus and anise, and black was not bad). - juice (like UPI, but only liquid and the same is painted. ) My wife and I do not drink stronger drinks.

With regards to shopping: opposite the hotel there is a supermarket, there are shops and another supermarket if you go to the right (standing with your back to the hotel). This is 2 kilometers. But if you are not too lazy and walk about five kilometers, approximately (the Laguna Beach hotel area), there is a more extensive network of shops and markets (there is even a McDonald's). We didn’t go to the old city, those who went earlier said that the prices there are the same as in nearby shops. Excursions: went for two. The first (purchased through a guide) is the monastery of St. Catherine + Dahab. True, as we understood, we were brought to this Dahab for two things: 1. have lunch (I liked lunch very much) 2. visiting a local mall. The city itself is quite decently away from the road home (to Sharm el-Sheikh). I won’t write anything about the monastery, whoever wants to, will go. I will say one thing - I personally did not regret it.
The second excursion was bought on the beach (as it turned out, we didn’t gain anything financially) ”visiting the island of Tirana, swimming in three different places, with diving (for a fee). Did not like. We went to remember our excursion in Hurghada to the "Paradise Island". Well, if you compare heaven and earth. Perhaps we came across hacks, but the water world was generally non-existent (compared to Hurghada), although it should have been the other way around. Now diving, I don’t know how much those who dived paid extra, but I think diving 3 meters for 3-5 minutes twice cannot be called diving. I dived with a mask - there is nothing to see. We plunged twice, had lunch, then, on the way back, when everyone already full wanted to go home (in hotels), the "guides" started swimming - 3 people volunteered....And the time was already 16 hours in their language. Well, the last feature is departure. Here I can only say one thing - very weak (in terms of assortment) Duty Free at the airport. That's all.
If anyone has questions - please ask. I personally described my feelings from the rest in this hotel, not trying to embellish anything, and not to denigrate.
P. S. I have no claims against the tour operator, the owners and staff of the Hauza Beach Resort hotel, the staff of the air carrier (Transaero)
