We rested in Sol Cyrene from 11.03 - 03.22. 2008 as part of 3 people (baby 1.5g. Free. Only landing on a plane. $ 30). All inclusive.
The hotel turned out to be in fact an "extension" to the Sol Sharm hotel. We can say they have one territory. Sol Cyrene has all the attributes of a separate hotel, except for the territory - you can say it doesn’t exist as such - the buildings are stretched along the path along which the bus runs, delivering the guests of both hotels to the common beach. At the reception, as in all hotels of the Spanish Sol Melia chain, there is almost no Russian in any way. Therefore, in “school” English, they noticed that we have a baby and we need an appropriate number away from the animations and closer to the ground 
They gave, as expected, with a view of the sea + a fence (there is a desert behind the fence, but this is the 2nd line). In short, normal. The room was the most extreme in the hotel (the farthest from the reception and the dining room and closer to the desert - the sea - until the last, by the way, 500 meters to walk, but the bus drove in 3-5 minutes). Liked the location. The kid had a distance to run while they went to eat, so that later at least 10 minutes to sit in a high chair (there seemed to be a few of them - 6-8 pieces, but enough for all the little Italians and us).

The disadvantage of the room is that it turned out to be a “connected room” - there was a double door to the next room through which they penetrated well - first the smoke of a cigar of a lonely quiet guest, and later the squeals and voices of two non-smoking Bashkir girls (who, at our request, behave in the evening and at noon it’s quieter because our baby is sleeping, they reacted inappropriately painfully, saying that we are already quiet).
Later it turned out that our room was closest to the construction site, which was going at a leisurely pace immediately behind the Sol Sharm Hotel, and through the front door the sounds of not only taking off planes penetrated (there is no roar, but it is impossible not to hear them - 6 km from the airport), but also the sounds of a crusher-excavator working daily from 10 am to 4 pm. At first, this noise accompaniment was annoying, because. the baby had to sleep during the day, but after running, he slept “without hind legs” and this didn’t bother him at all 
In short, when the breakdown of the first day passed - comparing the price-quality of this place, the rest went into a rut. And, in principle, were satisfied with this 4th. Because we were aiming for an inexpensive hotel with safe, decent food and preferably a sandy beach, which is what we got. The food in the canteen turned out to be at the level of the Melia Pharaoh 5 * hotel (Hurghada), they rested there in 2005 (now this hotel has moved to the SONEST chain). There was only 4 types of ice cream for dinner; ), and so: every day chicken, fish, beef, vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, cauliflower, lettuce) - baked, fresh, and in salads. Pasta, pancakes, rice, potatoes. In the morning for the third - tea-coffee, juices-yupi, cookies-sweets. In the evening and in the afternoon - cakes. Ice cream for children 1-12 years after 15.00 at the bar of the large pool.
The beach is common for 2 Sol hotels and is clearly too small at full load (30 meters long). In the first days, there were more or less enough sunbeds, but by March 15, the Russians came running in the morning - put down towels - ran to have breakfast - they came slowly, and at that time the lazy Italians, the Germans, the French, tormented the servants in search of sunbeds. As a result, a couple of vacationers found themselves on old mattresses in the sand. The newer plastic sunbeds were first dealt with, then the old wooden ones were taken apart. The only plus is the fine sand, on which our baby and the new plastic pontoon “broke off”, otherwise the beach is cramped. Entry into the sea is also possible along the pontoon - there are fewer stones.

We did not see colored corals there, so after lunch we had to walk along a good pedestrian road to the Conrad and Baron hotels. Security greeted and did not mind. On the Internet, they advised to turn the bracelet over, but we didn’t turn the bracelet inside out on our hand (it turns out to be white and in this case you are a guest of the Baron Hotel), we walked freely around the hotels, but when we lingered on the beach (swimmed in turn with a mask), then the main Arap from the local servants did not miss the opportunity, sorry for the expression, “to pound us Moscow” - due to the fact that we are from another hotel, and after viewing local land and underwater attractions, we must leave the territory of their coolest mega-five-star hotel. Therefore, maybe there is a point in turning bracelets over  …
In the evenings we went for a walk on the territory of Sol Sharm. The rooms in this hotel are smaller, the territory is prettier (many flowers and fragrances from them). But the feeling of tightness never left - everything is too compact. If you need to use the Internet, then in Sol Sharma in the gym they offered us at a very affordable price.
Even in the evenings, a terminator boy in a blue robe ran around the hotel territories with a kind of smoke generator spewing out clouds of smelly smoke and making the sound of a low-flying helicopter. Thus, apparently there is a fight against flies and mosquitoes, but if you do not close the door to the room in time, then you will still be bitten by mosquitoes dining room. The same terminator in a blue robe, right before meals, formally walks around the dining room with an electric fly swatter, but this is all in vain, because the dining room has a common space with the reception hall and, accordingly, flies are indestructible there!
We didn’t go to animation entertainment in the evenings, we went to bed with the baby. Animation - youth, yard Italian team ALBA TEAM in unwashed uniform shorts. I lit more for myself, and obviously remaining satisfied with myself. The first 6 days during the day in our windows there was only the sound of chirping birds and the muffled sounds of airplanes and construction sites, but on the second 6 days the main DJ of ALBA TEAM with a laptop, remote control and 2 speakers settled in a booth near our windows and it was a lot of fun in our room from a variety of club music. Thank God our baby, despite this roar, peacefully fell asleep with his mother's "nipple" in his mouth  This sausage at the large pool lasts from 10 to 13 and from 15 to 17 hours.
For people without special pretensions this is a good hotel, but those who are spoiled by fives will, I think, be somewhat disappointed.
