In Egypt, my husband and I 5 times. We rested both in Sharm and in Hurghada. This hotel was advised to us by a tour company, they said that it was the former Ritz. Of course, we did not expect such service as offered at the Ritz, but we hoped for good service. And they weren't wrong.
We flew with the Join up company, in Egypt their representatives are Sun International. We were met and taken to the hotel pretty quickly. We waited 2-2.5 hours for check-in - upon arrival we were placed in the lobby, treated to cold hibiscus, collected passports and told to come to the reception at 14.00. Since we arrived at about 12 pm, we managed to have lunch (lunch from 12:30 pm), walk along the beach, and at about 2 pm we were settled.
I will say right away that the room they gave us was not very close to the sea (5 minutes at a slow pace), but the second floor and a huge double bed, as we wanted. The room is excellent - large, bright, all the equipment is working. Someone wrote that ants and plaster are crumbling in the rooms - everything was in order in our room, the furniture - on solid 4 (not new, but in excellent condition), the plumbing is clean, the hair dryer did not work - so we replaced it after 5 minutes after the request. There were no global comments on cleaning either.

Food - classic for Egypt. There was chicken, veal, fish, seafood, lots of vegetables, pasta. For breakfast, they always cooked fried eggs or scrambled eggs with additions of our choice, pancakes, waffles, croissants. Of course, there were insanely delicious desserts (however, we saw oriental sweets only once in 8 days), and pastries, and fruits (apples, pears, oranges, bananas, dates, melon and watermelon). You could always have a snack near the pools - burgers, hot dogs, french fries, ice cream. . .
Drinks - only beer and wine (50/50) could be drunk from locally produced alcohol, everything else had a very chemical aftertaste. From b / a drinks there were also colored solvents (like Jupi), and sweet soda, and more or less decent coffee (instant, but from coffee machines). Also at breakfast there were fresh juices for $ 3.
The beach and sea are great. The beach is made in tiers, but it did not bother us. On the contrary, after a hearty dinner, it was very useful to walk up the stairs. There were always enough beds. In the first days, it seemed to us that there were very few vacationers here, but closer to the weekend the hotel was full. The main entrance to the sea is a pontoon, but there are two more entrances, as I called them, for the lazy. The waters there are knee-deep, but you can lie in the sea water and sunbathe. Definitely, if you are looking for a beach with a gentle entrance to the sea and a gradual deepening, this hotel will not suit you.
Vacationers - Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Germany, Yemen, Egypt.
They were given 1 liter of water per room per day - this was not enough for us, and we bought additional water and juices in a 24/7 store - all for an average of $ 1-2. Mango also cost between $2-4, depending on size and maturity. Once we went to the Old City - we took a taxi from the hotel (from $ 3 to $ 10 - as agreed, it cost us $ 5). I advise you to take a taxi only in one direction, and then catch it on the street. We booked a round-trip and waited 1.5 hours for our car ?

Check-out - standard at 12.00. The bracelets were not removed from us, so we could also have lunch. Then we were informed from Kyiv that our flight was rescheduled from 18:00 to 24:00. Therefore, at 18.00, a guide from Sun International called for us and said that due to the flight delay, they offered to take us to dinner at the Royal Savoy 5 * hotel. This fact was very pleasant for us, because. we were not sent to the airport 6 hours before departure hungry and angry, but nevertheless we were fed and we were able to walk around SOHO. This is a huge plus for Sun International and Join up.
The overall impression is excellent. This is a hotel for lovers of a calm and quiet holiday without discos, intrusive beach vendors and fuss.
