We went, for the first time, to Sharm el-Sheikh to the Rehana Royal Beach Resort & Spa 5 * hotel, from 23.09 to 02.10, we dreamed about rest, but it’s not harmful to dream. We arrived in the evening after 18:00 and for us the settlement in the room began quite quickly, but then dragged on. The concierge at the reception smiled mysteriously and said I'll give you a very nice room, handed over the keys and we left, taking our suitcase with us (although it is customary in the hotel that bell-boy will deliver things to you, it's better to carry them yourself, they treat suitcases terribly we have seen this many times). The room turned out to be very dirty and simply "killed", 2 lamps out of 5 available did not work, there were used soap accessories in the bathroom, the curtain was so dirty that even with such poor lighting it was evident. Immediately called the front desk and asked for another number. After 20 minutes, a bell-boy came to us and took us to another room, this one was also “killed”, but apparently clean. It turned out to be another surprise - it's cockroaches!!! ! Moreover, they didn’t even hide, I caught a couple in a napkin and went to the reception with these. The concierge did not want to keep a napkin with cockroaches and turned pale at the sight of it and immediately gave another room. This one was also “killed”, but apparently clean and without cockroaches, they remained in it, because they were very tired from the road and generally ran into numbers. We had a standard room, they cleaned it every day, soap accessories were added on the principle that I put it on hand (I could put 4 shower gels and not a single shampoo and conditioner), a couple of times there were only new tubes, and so used . Bed linen was changed 1 time in 9 nights, and then only because I took it off and folded it near the bed, and so the linen is changed in this way - the blanket and pillow are turned over and ironed on top, and now the client receives “fresh” linen. The bed linen is all old, torn and stained, the towels in the room are intact, but also old and stained, the beach towels are dirty, torn and the name beach rag on a sun lounger is more suitable for them. The curtains in the room are dirty and torn, the furniture is very worn out, there is ruin and fungus in the shower and it’s better not to stand barefoot on the floor, the shower rack is so old and rusty that it’s amazing how water flows from it at all. There is very little light in the room, apparently so that the client is not afraid of dirt. Safes in all three rooms with unmarked buttons and chewed batteries, which, moreover, fall out when the door is closed. On the last day of our vacation, batteries ran out in our safe and we were waiting for the manager from 7 in the morning until 10:40 to open it.
Until 12:00 you need to hand over the room or count another day. Settlement in the room from 14:00, those who arrive earlier must sit and wait, or you can give 20 dollars. to the concierge to become the “happy” owner of a terrible number ahead of time.
In the corridor, the walls and floor are dirty, with stains of various origins. The facades of the buildings are cracked and peeled in places.

The hotel area is all green and, in principle, beautiful, but somewhat littered, glasses, plastic bottles and a lot of cigarette butts stick out of the bushes. The beach is just awful, covered in cigarette butts, plastic straws from drinks, for several days there were two plates with leftover food under an umbrella, then they were scattered along the beach by the wind and so they lay for several more days. This is despite the fact that the cleaners walk along the beach, but they don’t see it point-blank. Once they were seen working when the boss forced them, but it lasted about 5 minutes while he was standing nearby.
The sea here is a solid coral from the shore and is about 100 m long, the depth of the water to the place where the back ends its noble name, there are several places where it is deeper, but these are small baths for several people and when the tide is out, the water remains only in them . There are a lot of shells and sea urchins, it is better to go in special shoes. From the pier it’s immediately deep and you can watch corals and fish, but in the morning there are always big waves and a red flag hangs, so you can only watch fish from the shore. On the pier, two lifeguards work in turns. The first one’s name is Mohamed and he performed his duties normally, he was not too lazy to change the flag, the second one was filonil and wasn’t in a hurry anywhere, it’s much more pleasant to sit under an umbrella, occasionally whistling at those who come to the edge of the coral from the shore. The pier is open from yellow or green flag (green only in summer) until 18:00. Buoys are tied around the pier, beyond which you cannot swim, there is very little space, and when there are a lot of people, you need to be careful not to crash into anyone.
When we arrived, the majority of Muslims were in the hotel, they were served faster and better, in the general restaurant they cooked well and tasty, there was a variety of fruits. 2 days before the end of our vacation, they parted and many vacationers from the CIS arrived, so they immediately stopped straining to cook, and it became bad with fruit. The tables in the main restaurant are dirty, they throw a couple of clean napkins under the cutlery from above and think that everything is cool, but the countertop is not washed at all. Sparrows fly around the hall and also do not add purity, there are feathers and traces of bombardments on the tables. There are a lot of flies everywhere, most of all on the beach.
We ordered 2 dinners in the Asian and Italian restaurants, in the first one everything is fine, except for the time limit, you need to eat everything and dump it in an hour, otherwise the next ones are already on. In the Italian restaurant, the soup and appetizers were delicious, but the chef surprised me with a tuna steak, not only did he overexpose it in lime, overdried it on the grill, but it still turned out to be not peeled from scales. The waiters were "frozen" and had to call several times until he deigns to turn his eyes on you. Ice cream was served, which they themselves wanted, your order is up to them.

Separately, I would like to write about pools, or rather about how they are chlorinated. We take one Egyptian, a bucket of bleach and a stick. We scoop up water from the pool with a bucket, make circular movements with a stick, pour out the reagent in several places, and so on with all the pools. Chlorinated somewhere from 17:45 local time.
In general, I can say one thing, it seems that the Egyptians live one day and are not in a hurry and do not strain anywhere, they are not worried about dirt and garbage around, and garbage is everywhere, especially along the roads and there is nothing there, from plastic bottles to the dead camels. Garbage at the airport and near the hotel, and on excursions. We liked the sea, corals and fish. I would like to come to Egypt again, but only after they put things in order.
