We rested in this hotel from June 7 to June 18.2019, we just returned today and would like to leave a review right away. I don’t know who the people who leave negative reviews are, probably they wanted to visit Rixos at least “cheaply”, but they made a mistake with the address.
The territory of the hotel is large, well-groomed, beautiful! Constantly something is washed, swept, trimmed, cleaned. The staff is very friendly, helpful and smiling! Nothing was paid for the settlement, no one hinted. We decided that we would first look at the room, and then, in which case, we would move for $. But the room turned out to be ideal for us, building 5, room 5050, on the 1st floor, with its own terrace, 1 minute from the pool.
An obvious plus is the remoteness of the building from discos, hype, music and the main crowd of people. Since we were resting with a child of 3 years, silence was important for us. There were almost never people on our pool, which is also a big plus. With this distance, it takes a maximum of 5 minutes to walk slowly to the main place of evening entertainment and the restaurant, and from there to the sea the same amount. So, with an obviously vast territory, it is still no more than 10 minutes of unhurried walking from the distant buildings to the sea.
Separately, I would like to note the children's water park. It is very well made. Firstly, the depth is not more than 70 cm, and secondly, for parents relaxing on sun loungers, the entire view of the slides is open. So even our three-year-old rode the slides and climbed them on her own, but I just watched her, sunbathing. Naturally, a small child must be dressed in sleeves or a vest. Right there in the water park there is also a "caretaker-lifeguard", so everything is under control.
Children's animation for C grade. Although the animator Marina is a nice girl, but. . . for 12 days listening to absolutely the same 5 songs at a children's disco and watching absolutely the same 3 contest-games. . . another test. . . isn't Marina herself tired of one and also? ? But despite this, the kids liked the evening disco. I won’t say anything about adult animation, we didn’t go to it, because at 22.00 we already had a quiet hour. The food is so-so . . but this is in principle a normal phenomenon for most hotels in Egypt, so we did not expect any special culinary delights. In the Old Town, the only thing worth going for is the chic Fares fish restaurant. For $ 50, we ate shrimp and mussels there in such quantities that we barely crawled out from behind the table. The sea is shallow, pure paddling pool for kids. Adults up to the knee. From the shore you can enter only in coral. But nevertheless, there are enough fish even near the shore. The pools are clean, cleaned there throughout the day, all the time.
I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that one day my husband lost his iPhone on the territory of the main pools. They returned it to the lobby the next day, no one stole anything, they did not demand a reward. I will definitely recommend the hotel to all my friends. They were satisfied. We flew from the Anex Tour, Azur Air, flight without delay, Boeing aircraft in excellent condition.
