We rested in May 2018.
I used to go twice a year.
My first disappointment in 9 years of rest in this hotel.
I'll try to tell you everything.
There were many vacationers. There were also many local people.
Very lack of staff in the main restaurant. People were leaving, and the tables were dirty and not cleaned, it was impossible to sit down. The tables did not have time to clean, not to mention the fact that the tables did not have time to serve. For 14 days we saw 3 times a teaspoon. The sugar in the cup had to be mixed with anything, but not with a teaspoon. The child had to eat yogurt with anything, but not with a small spoon or dessert. Ordering juice or tea for lunch is problematic - it takes a long time. There just isn't enough staff. Management is bad. Not the first year in May there are many visitors. And every year for these festive 8-10 days the staff is not added.
The dishes were, very often poorly washed, traces of food. The appliances were also often dirty.

The range of food has become noticeably worse in both main courses and desserts. The assortment of fruits was always not very good, but this time it was very scarce.
With a record in restaurants, Ala carte is just nonsense. The queue in the morning was 10-15 people, sometimes more, and while the queue reaches you, there is no adequate time left, and having dinner with a child after 21.00 is not very convenient. But when they managed to sign up and came to the restaurant, the places were free. At one time they took +/- 2 tables (for example, 18.30). It became very inconvenient, probably due to the lack of staff. In all restaurants there were a lot of broken dishes (and this is not on the bottom of the plate, it is on the facade), and this is in a 5-star hotel. This year there was no canned (cold tea) in any restaurant or bar. A trifle like, but not for a 5 star hotel. In the ala carte restaurants themselves, everything is fine (except for dishes). The staff, which has been working for a long time, there are almost no complaints about them. They all smile, remember us as regular customers. They serve well. The new staff is a disappointment. Once again they won’t come up, they won’t ask anything, and it’s not necessary to say goodbye... If you compare the restaurants of the Savoy system (and those in Soho), then the food in them is definitely better (more varied) than at Rixos.
Pools. We often got up early on all our visits to this hotel. and we have always seen how they clean the pools. This time the pools were not cleaned for about 8 days. There was dirt in every pool. In the large pool, for children, there was constantly dirt and fruits from palm trees. The middle pool was also dirty. I taught my child this time to dive with a mask and snorkel. We went to the middle pool. Fat black deposits were on the walls of the pool, on the steps, in one part of the pool there were pieces of dirt, and a glass that had been there for 8 days, in another corner of the pool there was an adhesive plaster for 8 days (it can be seen from someone fell off). I have never seen such dirt in 9 years. It's a total shame. I told the Russian-speaking staff about this more than once.
Children's pool on the beach - Always dirty, kids from the sand go into it, and it quickly becomes dirty. Maybe it was worth many years ago to make a recess with water nearby, so that the children would wash their feet there and then go into the pool

Towels - at least 30% must be thrown away, or declare that you have a 3-star hotel. They are in terrible condition, by the pools and in the room.
Unfortunately, guests with Arabic appearance were allowed to do whatever they wanted. And this is not the first year. And served them faster than other guests.
Volleyball court - As usual, the sand was not added or sieved. In one part of the site there is very little of it and people often break their legs (knees, toes). There are a lot of small pebbles. Glasses and bottles were not removed for 3-4 days. The mesh is always full of holes. For the last 4 years I have brought a rope with me to tie holes. The volleyball ball is terrible. Probably one of the cheapest non-leather fakes. And we are in a 5 STAR hotel. I took my balls there for 9 years. Other sports equipment is also not of very good quality. Previously, the bush was cut and it did not grow inside the site. And now it has grown inside and now people often scratch. If the ball fell on top of the bush, then there is nothing to get it. Damn, well, at least a stick, some kind, was put for this. People break bushes to get the ball. There is no other way to get it.
Kid's club - at least once get into the Rixus, And you will understand that in Savoy the kids' club is a C grade. Toys are old and broken. The work of children's animators was poor, especially at children's disco. The playroom for children is just a stone age and devastation. It's always been there, but it's just boiled over, and the child has grown up and needs a little more than what is in the kids' club. Rixus has it. Nothing is changing for the better. This is sad. I have repeatedly spoken about these problems to the staff. All that I heard in response - Well, like in Rixus, the staff is different (management). It needs to be rebuilt a long time ago and made more modern. He offered to send a person and check how the children's club works at Rixus. But the staff spoke only excuses.

Rooms - I always ask for the number 4002. Here the hotel is almost always on top. They could almost always respect me as a regular visitor. Very old furniture. The room had a cigar butt lying around for 10 days. The child almost took it to play with. It's just a shame how they cleaned the rooms. Banks, papers and cups were lying around for more than one day near the rooms (we are talking about those that I saw, by the pool). The room was cleaned normally, but the guys in the 5 star hotel can't have torn towels. It got worse every year.
All bonuses were cut, earlier it was a little more interesting for regular customers. Trestle beds are already too worn. The service at the pool got worse. Not removed. Dirt and cups fly into the pool in the wind. And no one really cares about it.
Unfortunately, my favorite hotel has gone bad. I would really like to see all the shortcomings corrected and the hotel returned to normal. I want to go back there, but there is so much negativity, because of the problem of management or staff, that I don’t want to do it now. You are a family hotel. So make it more pleasant for children and their parents.
I understand that every hotel has flaws, but you guys have more and more of them every year.
But still, I hope for a positive that everything will change for the better. Earlier when I wrote reviews about the hotel, I turned a blind eye to the little things, and really thought that this hotel is one of the best in Sharm Al Sheikh.
