I want to share my impressions about the rest in Sol Y Mar Riva World. Rested with my husband in mid-November 2010.
I am writing about my impressions for the first time (although I rested in different resorts and in different hotels).
I'll start in order.
The ticket was bought in ANEX TOUR (in Kyiv). We flew normally, at the Sharm El Sheikh airport - we filled out all the documents without any problems, approached the meeting representative (who usually stands and meets all the tourists who come to rest), he marked us in his lists and told which bus to go to. We got to the hotel without any problems. We were settled there in 10 minutes without any additional payments. Everything was very fast and kind.
We were at Sol Y Mar Riva Beach.
The room is an ordinary large bed, the view from the window is so-so, you can see the sea a little, the neighboring hotel and a bit of the desert. Everything worked in the room (shower, taps, toilet, air conditioners, TVs, safe, etc. ) Usually, all vacationers write that everything does not work ...we were quite satisfied with the room.
The rooms were cleaned every day, though in the afternoon, but it did not bother us. As for the towels - there is a cardboard sign in the room, so that's where you hang them (there are small towels and large ones) and change those towels.
Bed linen was changed twice in 7 days. It suited us.
BEACH. Since the territory of Sol Y Mar Riva World is small, the sea is within easy reach. 2-3 minutes and you are on the beach. The beach is large, in the morning everything is cleaned and even wiped : )) with a damp cloth, tables on fungi. The flies were a little annoying though only early in the morning.
There was also an unpleasant moment on the beach - there were not enough sunbeds and fungi for all the vacationers. If you come after breakfast, everything is busy. So if you want to sunbathe on sunbeds, don't be lazy and take sunbeds at 6-30 : -)) By the way, they have problems with towels. Issued 1 time - in the morning.
The beach is sandy and very shallow, the kids are just super! You need to go to the reef, not as far as many here say (150-200 meters).
I remembered the moment in the store near the hotel you can buy flippers (10-40 USD), a mask (10-35 USD), slippers for water (5-7 USD). They bargain and give way.
Now about the food : )) Breakfasts, lunches and dinners at the hotel are normal. The food is quite varied. There are a lot of vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, lettuce leaves, cabbage, onions, peppers, olives, etc. ). Fruit is worse, but it's more because of the greed of our people. For example, they take out a large plate of pomegranates (large pomegranates cut into 4 parts) - for good, this plate would be enough for 10-15 people, but it is shared by 2-3 people who, apparently, have not eaten pomegranates in their lives and everyone else does not even know that that the pomegranate was taken out : )) the same thing happens with bananas, pineapples, there were also dates, oranges, melons, etc. d.
By the way, who wants to see a variety of dishes, I suggest coming 15-20 minutes earlier than lunch and dinner, then you can see all the variety of dishes.
In general, the food is normal you will not die of hunger.
By the way, at the end of our holiday, many Arabs with numerous wives and children came. It was a little stressful. They are quite noisy and specific. By the way, their staff is not very ...it was clear that they were not happy.
As for the bars, we liked the bar that was in the lobby (near the entrance), there for VAN MAGIC DOLLAR : )) You will get excellent cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). And also bottled beer there (and not diluted draft). And they pour it all into glass, not plastic glasses. The bartenders are quite friendly and smart. My husband and I only go to this bar.
We did not take excursions, as we had already seen everything and were everywhere. Enjoyed sunbathing, swimming and sunbathing. We came to relax and rest. If there were flaws (and they are everywhere and always), then we did not notice them.
We liked. The hotel pulls on 4.
And for those who constantly compare Egypt with Turkey, it's not worth it. These are two completely different countries.
