The tour operator was Alliance, and the host was Joyce Tours. We were unhappy with both of their services. Alliance delayed our flight to Chisinau by 4 hours, which meant we missed our train and had to take a bus, which was much less comfortable.
Joyce Tours kept us on the bus at Sharm el-Sheikh Airport for about an hour. On the way back, the bus arrived at the hotel 30 minutes late – we were already thinking of another way to get to the airport, as the lines to get in were very long.
The hotel guide from Joyce Tours failed to show up to meet us three times, despite us waiting for over 0.5 hours each time. We wouldn't have expected him, but the transfer guide, who called himself Seva, spent a long time scaring everyone on the bus, telling everyone that last week, tourists hadn't shown up for their meeting with the hotel guide, and by the time they arrived at the airport by taxi, their plane had already departed.
Hotel
We'd already stayed at this hotel in 2019, so we have something to compare it to.
Due to construction of new buildings at the Sunrise Remal Beach Resort 5* (which also includes four small swimming pools and a concert stage), the shuttle bus from the Sunrise Remal Resort 4* no longer takes guests directly to the beach, but only to the entrance of the Sunrise Remal Beach Resort 5*. This means the shuttle bus (which runs every 15 minutes) takes guests 400 meters, followed by a 200-meter walk to the beach. Therefore, we rarely used the shuttle bus, only returning to the hotel from the beach. Overall, the walk from room 1128 to the beach is about 700 meters.
There is construction across the street from the reception area, making the rooms near it noisy. In the evening, the exhaust fan near the reception area makes a loud noise, which can be heard in neighboring rooms.
Rooms 1001–1045 (1101–1145 and 1201–1245) have balconies overlooking the children's pool and are quiet. For some unknown reason, the tiled paths from the verandas of ground-floor rooms 1001-1045 to the children's pool were removed right in front of us. It was such a convenient shortcut from the veranda to the main pool and beach shuttle.
Interestingly, the water flow in the pool's water slides is so weak that even a child 14 years or older would be dangerous to use, let alone adults.
Room
A nice room with a soft bed, an electric kettle, and a coffee/tea maker. The air conditioning worked, but the refrigerator didn't. But we didn't really need it. Six free bottles of carbonated sweet drinks were in the refrigerator upon arrival.
Neither swimsuits nor bathing suits dry overnight on the drying rack in the bathroom. Bring a clothesline and tie it between the balcony and one of the plastic chairs.
Once, mosquitoes bit us all night long—we managed to kill a few with our hands. They only left after spraying the bed and headboard with mosquito repellent spray. Then, we turned on mosquito repellent with a heater every day—it helped. One bottle is included in the room; we brought another.
Restaurant and Food
I disagree with those who call this restaurant a "canteen. " The restaurant is typical of hotels like Xperience Sea Breese, Grand Oasis, and the like. You have to arrive three times a day when the restaurant opens. Otherwise, it might be full. Because of this, many people sit on the terrace, but it's hot there during the day. Sometimes it's impossible to sit at the table without difficulty because the chairs are so crowded.
There are very few spoons. There are occasionally shortages of plates, cups, and glasses. I haven't heard of any food poisoning, but it's better to get tomatoes from the table near the tea/coffee station, where they're sliced – they're clearly fresher.
The food is very good – two types of fish and two or three types of meat twice a day. In the evening, there's plenty of grilled food. They serve crab, squid, shrimp, and oysters. But the beef is tough and difficult to eat. There's plenty of fruit, but we've never seen watermelon. For some reason, the buns in the restaurant are always stale. For some reason, there were no raisins, dried apricots, or nuts.
We didn't go to the à la carte restaurants, as the main restaurant had plenty of food for dinner, and it was quite varied.
You can also grab snacks at the Yades restaurant near the beach from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, so you don't have to return to the hotel for lunch (we couldn't use the rest of the Sunrise Remal Beach Resort 5* facilities, according to guest relations manager Christina). There's also a tea service from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, but we didn't use it.
Among the drinks, I liked the mango juice, which they pour from a carton. The gin and lime was very good. Previous reviews praised the rum, but I didn't like it. The beer was good, but low in alcohol. I also liked the red wine. Once a week, cider is poured into plastic champagne glasses at the entrance to the restaurant—a very acquired taste.
It's inconvenient that the pool bar and beach bar are only open until 5:00 PM (usually in hotels, it's until 6:00 PM). The lobby bar, however, is open until midnight.
I was surprised that drinking water was provided in two 0.25L bottles in the room (at the Sunrise Remal Beach Resort 5*, it was in 0.6L bottles), and I had to get it from the restaurant several times a day.
Entertainment
There is entertainment in and around the pool during the day, and in the evening, both by the pool and in the amphitheater. I enjoyed the dance show on Monday by the pool – the Pablo Escobar Colombian Dance Ensemble performed (just kidding). The other performances were so-so.
On Thursday and Sunday at 8:30 PM, reception takes you to the TAL Avenue show. I really enjoyed it.
The beach
There are no longer windbreaks on the beach, although the beaches of neighboring hotels have them. The sun loungers on the upper platform (near the pier) are new, with nets and head covers. However, it's difficult to find a free lounger at 8:30 AM, and after 9:00 AM, there are none at all. In addition to two showers, a changing cabin has been added to the beach – convenient.
The beach bar has been moved from the pier further inland to the promenade. There's often a line of 10-15 people there, which is uncomfortable.
The coral, up to the first level of buoys, is dead and gray. At high tide, the water there is slightly above the waist of an adult, making it comfortable for children and non-swimmers. There are no small fish in this area, not even the ubiquitous tangs – a safety feature.
The rickety pontoon has been replaced with a pier with three inclined ladders for entering the water – very convenient. The swimming area near the pier has more fish, but no large ones at all. Medium fish were caught only 1-2 times.
The coral is more interesting and has more fish if you swim north toward the Albatross Palace Hotel. However, to reach an interesting reef there, you have to swim about 700 meters out and the same distance back. In water with a temperature of 24-25 degrees (the water in Sharm is cold this April), I didn't want to do it without a wetsuit.
The coral is less interesting, but there are many cozy coves if you swim south toward the Siva Hotel. However, 5-6 boats with divers arrive there daily, and they scare the fish away.
A visit to the Sunrise Remal Beach Resort 5* revealed a huge difference between the 4* and 5* Sunrise hotels. The 5* has about 14 pools, meaning some are almost private, and much of the hotel is simply gorgeous.
Overall, we enjoyed our trip to the Sunrise Remal Resort 4*.
Alexander and Larisa.
I'd like to point out that this hotel isn't for swimmers, just off the sand. There's a magnificent pontoon and a beautiful reef. I recommend it for those who love the underwater world. Although it's been considerably damaged by the boats that bring scuba divers to the bay. They don't drift out to sea, like in Sharm el-Sheikh, but moor right next to the reef. It's painful to see all the consequences of such a mooring underwater - hooks and ropes, wire, driven right into the reef...This is the only huge drawback - although it does not directly affect the hotel - it is not really hotel territory, but they are located right next to the pontoon and the reef is being destroyed more and more every year...
The food is a 5, although I would have liked to see some herring for breakfast for variety. Overall, everyone will find something to suit their taste. Meat options include chicken (several types), beef, duck, and lamb. There was fried salmon and shrimp, squid and crab, as well as a variety of fish, also several types. The sweets are simply amazing – from custards and puddings to cakes and all kinds of pastries, with oriental sweets. A month wouldn't be enough to try everything. And this is a 4 – don't forget!
The rooms are ordinary – clean and cozy. Housekeeping is excellent.
I want to highlight Ksenia, the guest relations manager, this year – it's obvious she works hard. She was everywhere and helped the guests a lot!
And the animation team did a wonderful job this year! – Misha, Paolo, Mumu – respect!!!! ! We've never seen so many dancing grandmothers.
A special thank you to the staff for their care! From reception to cleaning staff. From the smallest details to requests for assistance, everyone was amazing. Thank you!
This hotel also boasts walks along the promenade in both directions. And a 10-minute walk through the desert takes you to a beautiful street lined with hotels and shopping, leading to Soho Square.
We'll definitely be back and will miss you until next year. I know the hotel continues to expand—we wish you success, strength, and prosperity, our beloved Remal!! !
Two weeks, as I returned, still pleasant memories and the desire to return again!
Very attentive staff - they will solve any problem. Crossing the threshold of the hotel for the first time, they are already respectful to you - they are escorted to the sofa, serve a wet towel and a glass of juice, put on a bracelet and solve all issues on the settlement themselves.
There are always sweet layers in the lobby, if lunch has not yet begun, you can have a bite, drink coffee and wait for settlement)
The rooms are clean, beautiful, new. Tea, coffee, kettle, water. Cola, sprite, fantas - a compliment of the hotel, in the refrigerator, in the room. Very high quality hygiene products
(shampoo, air conditioning, gel, hand cream), by the way, hand cream even in toilets on the beach)
I really liked Ponton, it is stationary, wooden!
There is no fear that you will fall off the swinging plastic pontoon)
The beach has completely new sunbeds and towels, there is enough space for everyone! I also pleased the bar on the beach, drinks in dense plastic glasses, and not in disposable cups!
The overall impression of the vacation is very good, the atmosphere, that the guests are happy here and do everything to like the rest!
Definitely recommend!
An unforgettable vacation and experience. After a long 3 years of absence, due to the war in our country, we courageously allowed ourselves to reboot.
Three years ago we were in the 5th Remal Beach and I will say that in the 4th Remal is no worse.
Service and food are up to par. I know a lot of A's where you can't give below a 3'. Well done everyone here!!! !
Guys Mahmud, Ahmed - reception!! ! Respect!! ! Guys on the pier! - thank you for seeing everything and explaining to careless tourists that there is no need to throw bread into the sea and kill the fish.
Restaurants - thank you all so much for the delicious food and service and speed, because the hotel was 100% full, despite the month of January.
Room cleaning - well done! Camel! Your art in towels is just museum pieces!
Beach bar - Ahmed - beautiful, fast, magically delicious!!!! !
Wi-fi is excellent throughout the hotel and even on the beach.
The bracelet will be put on you as soon as you step on the threshold of the hotel and take it off at home upon arrival. The room can be extended for $25 until 16.
00 if you have a late flight.
In 20 minutes, through a path in the desert, you can exit through the shopping street to Soho Square. The promenade from Remal Beach will take you through the Albatross and Baron hotels to beautiful panoramas and a market. And the road to Siva Sharm is to unforgettable seascapes!
The bay is windless, although in January this is not particularly predictable, but we sailed for 10 days, without a red flag.
The only negative is the presence (up to 5 pieces) of ships on the wild beach nearby. Some almost run into the hotel panton as they arrive. This is depressing, and the condition of the reef has noticeably worsened over these 3 years. It is unlikely that the hotel can do anything about it, but I will believe that it can.
Thank you Remal Resort for the wonderful time spent here. I hope, believe and look forward to meeting you in 2026!
Service - the staff is trying, everyone is friendly.
The food is good for a 4* hotel (yuppie juice, ice cream from powder and water, this is a minus)
Children's animation - horror. Animation for adults, obsessive, boring! Animators make people write good reviews and take pictures of them.
Sea - along the shore, stone slabs (dead corals), there is no place for children. Pantone plastics.
The reef is gorgeous.
The sunbeds are old, maybe they will be replaced soon, because the first line is all under repair. The management of the hotel, the bottom, forbade us to use the flag of Ukraine!! ! Because ANI DO NOT WANT CONFLICTS! There are a lot of Russians, they conduct themselves, according to the dignity of cattle) they are busy at night, in the daytime they are in line for a drink, and they take care of everything.
For those who do not need fish and entertainment for children, it is better to rotate other hotels. Glory to Ukraine!
The hotel has a miniclub, playground and water slides. We are happy with our vacation. Thanks to the staff.
1. It can be seen that it is either new or after renovation, because there are no comments on the appearance of the premises, buildings, rooms and other things. Naturally, I did not go with a microscope, but outwardly everything is very nice.
2. The entire perimeter of the pool is lined with sun loungers, but sometimes they are still not enough, especially because half of them just have towels. and people are wandering around.
3. The room had everything you need, safe, hair dryer, TV with our and Russian channels. Cleaning was done every day.
4. There are no questions about nutrition at all, there was always enough of everything. twice there were crabs, once tiger prawns, squids were almost every day. Variety of sweets, salads, meat.
5. Speaking of food - near one of the entrances to the dining room there is an outdoor kitchen. where they grill. You can get there either by climbing the stairs to the second floor from the side of the pool, or by going through the entire dining room from beginning to end, if you enter from the main entrance.
We always entered from the main entrance, and therefore, purely by chance, we found out that there was a grill there when we saw people in the plates of food that we did not see at the distribution))) I don’t know what you can think of with this - either you should be in the lobby when you check in notify, or hang navigation in the dining room itself.
6. The Internet is, in principle, throughout the hotel, which is very rare for 4 *. It catches something in the rooms, but enough for correspondence. near the pool catches well, best of course in the lobby.
7. Delivery to the sea by a bus that brings tourists without stopping. Literally 2 minutes on the way, 5-7 minutes on foot. the road to the sea goes downhill on foot, so it’s easy to get there, but back you have to go downhill, and therefore it’s definitely better to wait 5 minutes for the bus back. We did not go on foot, but we saw tourists who were tired))
8. You can use the bar on the beach. which is on the corner of a 5* hotel and you can't use the others.
the beach itself is with sand, we didn’t find a shortage of sun loungers, the entrance to the sea is from a plastic bridge, it is carried out into the sea by 50-60 meters. The reef is super, they even come from other hotels to dive.
9. Check-in was fast, just 5 minutes later they brought us the keys.
10. Guest experience Olya is sitting in the lobby, and there are a couple more people. Every day they approached all the tourists on the beach and in the dining room, asked for the room number, what problems they encountered, what was wrong. Their hikes were accompanied by a crowd of cooks who carried desserts and cocktails. It's nice to have feedback.
In general, we liked the rest, in the next. we can go here again. People who rested said that they used to be only in 5 *, but this hotel is on the level, and they are also satisfied.
The restaurant is roomy, but with a large occupancy of the hotel, queues line up at lunchtime and in the evening... but this is not critical, people alternate, the staff is fast, tables are cleaned in an instant, they wipe the tables with an antiseptic and there is also a bottle of antiseptic on each table.
Good variety of food.
In the morning, various bakery products, toast, single-portion butter, 2 types of cereals, pancakes, scrambled eggs, beans, potatoes, sausages, cut sausages, cheeses, cheese, yogurt... fruits (pomegranate, orange, banana, etc. ; chopped vegetables: tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, bell pepper, white and red cabbage, greens, olives. . . you can't remember everything. . . and a whole stained-glass window of cakes. . . tea, coffee-cappuccino-mocaccino machine and other drink options, juices (mango, orange, pineapple), cola, sprite, fanta, etc.
For lunch, bread, 2 types of soups, be sure to rice and beef meat stew, various delicious boiled and baked mixes of vegetables, baked meat: either chicken or other meat, I'm not a meat eater, I passed by... there was definitely baked and fried fish, grilled chicken and cutlets, pasta, baked potatoes and french fries, sausages, pizza, again sliced vegetables and a huge number of mini-cakes... they often fried crabs or other seafood, but I did not stand in those queues.
The rooms are renovated, spacious, wooden furniture, all in good order, comfortable beds, large balconies... the room is cleaned daily with a change of towels, beds (all white), cosmetics (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, mini-paste toothbrush, soap)... in the refrigerator bottles of water, jars of cola, sprite, phantom that replenish... if you forget something - ask. The room also has a kettle with a set of tea and coffee bags. Wet cleaning! No dust on the floor and furniture.
Wi-Fi throughout, ask the reception for your individual password. In general, the Internet is normal for social networks, but it will be more convenient to buy an Egyptian orange SIM card or these salads, or vodafone... if you didn’t have time to buy at the airport, you can do it in shops on the territory of the hotel... you can also buy masks, flippers, swimwear, mangoes, souvenirs, tea and much more, although the prices there are higher than in the Old City. You can take a taxi to the Old City on the day of arrival and buy everything you need at reasonable prices and then enjoy your vacation.
The hotel is located in Sharm El Sheikh in the Montazah region, close to Nabq. It's windy here in winter! The hotel beach is hidden from the wind by a cape and the stay is much more comfortable than on the beaches of neighboring hotels: Albatros Palace, Coral Montaza, Baron and Coral Seya Sensatori. The hotel is located on the second line and shares the beach with the Sunrise Remal Beach 5 * hotel. You can go down to the beach on foot along a well-groomed footpath (5 minutes) or on a shuttle bus that runs free of charge from the hotel to the beach and back, from 7.00 to 17.00.
I recommend to come to the beach at 6.00-7.00 to take sun loungers and then have a quick breakfast (from 7.00) and back to the beach. After breakfast, you will find sunbeds on the beach on the left, where the entrance to the sea is rocky.
The hotel does not have a sandy entry into the sea, so with children you can go into the sea only ankle-deep (so the coral stone bottom) and only in special shoes - in corals.
The beach is separated from the Remal Beach 5 * hotel by a promenade, and a bar with drinks for vacationers of both hotels is right at the beginning of the territory of this hotel, there is also a toilet and foot shower.
The reef is good and interesting. Entrance from a plastic pontoon - there is always a crowd on it! To the left of the pontoon, the reef is more colorful.
If you want to see a beautiful reef, get up early in the morning and walk along the promenade to the last hotel Coral Seia Sensatori, and from its pontoon snorkel along the coral crust towards your hotel to the next pontoon or further (Hotel Baron). They say the steepest reef there.
I planned this business but did not carry it out - there was no suitable company.
I recommend the hotel!! ! We felt comfortable and relaxed in it.
