Good afternoon everyone. I am writing in hot pursuit. We rested at the Sunrise Diamond Hotel from February 28 to March 14. Arrived at the hotel with 9 people. Check-in was in the evening. It didn't take long. But there is one caveat: we flew as a family of 4 people (mother, father, 15-year-old child and 6-year-old child). Booked a standard room. We were offered a Standard room at the reception, but small and they said that for an additional fee ($ 40) we can see a better room with a good view. We naturally chose the second option. Although I still think that it was possible not to give, to solve the issue differently, because I think that if a hotel populates a family of four in the Standard, then there cannot be one large bed and an ottoman in the room. But we were positive, so we didn't argue.
I will not say that the hotel has a beautiful and well-groomed territory. The photos themselves will tell about it. I am very picky in this regard, but the number of blooming Bougainvillea definitely pleased me. I “jumped” through the bushes all my vacation... There are 3 pools in the hotel plus a water park. A large unheated pool, a heated family pool (where we spent most of our afternoons), and a small pool (we didn't swim there, but we walked past it all the time). Separately, I want to note the water park. It is fun not only for children, but also for adults. EVERYONE was delighted. Ride every day. We and the kids had a lot of fun. There is animation at the family pool, it never gets boring. There is also animation at the main pool. By the way, it is located near the sea, so the guys also occupied vacationers on the sea.
Animation in the hotel is good. Various national. Guys and girls are great. Constantly communicate with guests, hold various games and competitions. Each is original in its own way and aimed at "their" vacationer, which in general gives a well-coordinated team. In the evenings every day some kind of entertainment program, mini disco every day. It will not be boring, the animation is trying to pay attention to the guests to the maximum...

The food at the hotel is good and varied. They set us up that now there is a crisis in Egypt and hotels have switched to economy mode. But in the hotel we did not feel it. You can, of course, find fault: ice cream is served there in small portions, coffee is not natural, fruit is quickly snapped up (especially melon), juice is not packaged, BUT! There I switched to coffee with milk), the overall impression of the food is very good. The chefs are great: they constantly cooked some goodies, surprises at sea (brought and carried guests to the sea), then they arranged a fruit festival (a huge cake, drinks and fruits right on the seashore, accompanied by dances and music), etc. During the stay The hotel offers free access to 2 restaurants: Indian and Oriental. The Oriental restaurant made a special impression on us, both with its design and with meat cooked on fire. Everything was sooooo delicious, solemn and beautiful. The hotel managers were present at the dinner and, in honor of the dinner, all the guests present were welcomed and thanked for choosing the hotel. It was unexpected and touching. The evening turned out to be very enjoyable.
When you stay in a hotel for a long time, you begin to pay attention to the little things that would be ignored in a short stay. So, I noticed that every evening at around 5 o'clock a young man with test tubes passes by each pool and takes samples. They follow it closely. Every day, Russian-speaking girls (they are constantly near the reception and if you have questions or problems, they are ready to help in solving them) come up to vacationers and ask if everything suits them, if there are any inconveniences, problems... I liked it. I would also like to note that on the territory of the hotel I very often observed the management of the hotel. They pay great attention to the quality of service and strive to improve the service. Another case surprised me: while relaxing on the beach, I heard the caretaker from the pontoon running ashore and calling for someone who had lost a golden earring on the pontoon. No one answered and he said that if the mistress of the earring was found, let her call number 5 on the phone in the hotel. It was amazing. We also left tablets in the room and they did not disappear anywhere... There is also a safe in the room.
Speaking objectively, the hotel is not new and for good it is necessary to “refresh” especially the bathrooms. BUT! This did not affect the rest itself in any way, since in general the rooms are good, they cleaned every day, all the appliances worked. The only thing I didn't like was the number of outlets. There are few of them in the room, practically none. Take a tee with you and if there is equipment with a plug for euro sockets, take an adapter, otherwise it will not fit into their socket. I ran around the room with my hair dryer brush, because in the bathroom I could not insert the plug into the outlet. You just need to be prepared for this, since now we have a lot of different equipment that requires a large number of outlets.
I also want to note that the hotel is quite heavily populated. I asked the staff and they told us that usually 40-60%, and for the New Year 100%. For Egypt now it is decent. They are constantly working on this.
