This is our first trip to Egypt. The hotel was chosen randomly on a last minute trip, like the decision itself, to go on vacation (2 adults and a child of 12 years old).
If compared with a 5-star hotel in the UAE, then, of course, this one does not pull on their 5 stars, a maximum of 3-4, but the price of accommodation is about two to three times lower, so what you pay for is what you get.
1. Settlement. We arrived at 10-40, in the room were in ten minutes. They didn’t give money, they just smiled and said hello. Everyone was seated quickly. The man who brought the suitcases to the room was given $1 and said thank you - he was very happy. There was no third large towel in the room - we found our cleaner Ahmed nearby, got to know each other, he brought a towel after 14-00. They left him and another, after him, 6 pounds or 1 dollar, and they even laid out fish and all kinds of animals on the bed from towels for us, wore flowers in the room - nice.

2. Number. The room is clean and spacious enough - two rooms and a toilet with a shower. Exit to the terrace in the form of a French window. The furniture is a little worn, but not fatal. There is a safe, almost all photographic equipment fits into it, see photo. Long lenses 100mm will not fit. The bed is comfortable and big. In the minibar, water and 4 bottles, two Pepsi Mirinda and 7-ap. There are hangers. When we entered the room, there was an instruction only in Russian, which leads one to think that certain rooms are rented to our fellow citizens.
3. Territory. The territory is well-groomed and clean. If a cigarette butt is lying around somewhere, then they did not have time to clean it up after our tourists. Two heated pools. Water 30 degrees. One big and cold.
4. Beach. The sunbeds are not new but acceptable. Places by the sea are chronically "clogged" from 5-6 in the morning by our tourists by laying towels - to which the witness himself (photographed the sunrise).
5. Feeding. In contrast, from some reviews, the food seemed quite good and low-fat to us. Our mentality is affecting - if there are no kilograms of pork on the table in the form of ham and smoked meats, then this is the end of the world. There is every day and in the morning, at lunch and in the evening, fish and beef. Lots of vegetables and fruits. Good cheeses (5 types). For 11 days the food is not tired. Desserts are very, very tasty. The waiters at Half Moon are not very efficient, but if you ask to remove the table, they will immediately remove it - the main thing is to smile and be polite.
6. Drinking. Drinking is so-so. One kind of beer (normal), wine. . . I am silent here, vodka - we didn't drink, we don't know. Pepsi, mirinda, 7-ups in abundance, and real juices in the lobby bar.

7. Service. The service is not intrusive - employees walk along the beach and offer excursions - very correct and pleasant people, to whom our fellow citizens sometimes respond very rudely, forgetting that this is just a job for people. Separately, I would like to thank Martin from the dive center PADi ("Pyramids"), who is a very nice person on the beach and speaks Russian well. It was very interesting to communicate with him. Least liked the bartender at the upper pool - a gloomy friend. We didn’t order anything from him except Pepsi and water, we behaved quietly and peacefully, but it didn’t work out - of all the employees, he seemed the least friendly and efficient. Uncle with umbrellas and without "bait" behaved correctly and politely. With the rest of the staff it was like this - they remembered each other in the face, smiled and greeted.
8. Animation. We were fine without her.
9. From curiosities. It was necessary to change the battery in the device, for which a screwdriver was needed. At the reception, two Russian-speaking girls were looking for a local IT specialist with a screwdriver for two days, and when he came, a hefty Egyptian, and pulled out a tiny screwdriver from the key fob, it was very hard not to laugh. The screwdriver was found by me the next day at the local 24/7 grocery store around the corner.
Total: For the money it is quite successful, in terms of price / quality ratio, the hotel. I can go again. The behavior of some of our fellow citizens is depressing, which actually causes prejudice towards Russian speakers. For example, the leaves of the cactus on the shore, where everyone is photographed, are painted by Cyrillic and it's a shame. Ashamed for cigarette butts on the grass, ashamed for towels at 5 am, for demanding vodka at 10 am by the pool….
