In Egypt 3 times. Therefore, I will compare with the previous hotel so that both hotels are more optimally priced at once.
Before that, of course, I was already an experienced tourist and managed to visit Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary... But after I visited Egypt, I fell in love with this country, despite some negative nuances of this country in general.
So, the first hotel SOL Y MAR RIVA WORLD (Sol I Mar Riva World 5 *) and the second SUNRISE SELECT DIAMOND BEACH RESORT (Sunrise Select Diamond Beach Resort, Calimera Royal Diamond Beach, Calimera Royal
Rooms:
1) (Sol I Mar Riva World 5*) After renovation - large and spacious, but there are terraces only on the 1st floor. They give you the opportunity to see it before checking into the room.
Awesome bathroom - large, with bathtub and bidet.

The whole system in the hotel is automatic, that is - through the cards - reliably. Towels are normal and cleaning too - to the point that the curlers worked one to one. As a token of gratitude, the cleaner was once given white chocolate.
2) (Sunrise Diamond) They don't let you see the room before checking in. And if you move in, you are unlikely to move to another.
As if the rooms were recently renovated - judging by the walls, but the furniture, curtains are not new (about 10 years old).
The bathroom is small and looks like a misunderstanding. The shower is not understandable - without a curtain (after taking it without a habit, the entire bathroom is in the water). The tile is broken. The door is stratified from moisture. It obviously hasn't been renovated. The towels are white and new.
Cleaning is good. By the way, in one of the reviews I read that there are no duvet covers, etc. - BRED. Yes, they only make the bed very carefully, so they straighten the sheet and duvet cover well, put pillows and another blanket on top - some citizens are so lazy that they cannot take off the top blanket-cape, straighten the bottom and lie down simply or simply do not understand what's what. In principle, what a sin - we did the same)) But the cleaner did a great job - the next day he figured everything out and spread out our bed, and simply put the top cape into the cabinet. This time they gave me a dollar 2 times - I wanted something cool to be twisted from the towels, but apparently the cleaner did not have the necessary skills - he just beautifully laid out all sorts of “jokes” on the bed from my ribbons and other improvised things. Later we did not leave him dollars, but he cleaned very well, and on the last day, when he found out that we were already leaving, he scattered flowers on the bed. Once they forgot to close the safe - nothing was stolen.
The system is semi-automatic, so the door opens with a key and in general there are problems with it, as it slams and closes only on a chain, sometimes it opens itself.
All rooms with balconies. But not all with a good view.
For families - super - they give 3-room suites near the playground - very convenient.
Service:

Both the first and the second hotel are designed for Italians.
1) In Solymar, at first, the service was neutral, but after they saw our good attitude towards them, it became excellent. The human factor played and we were favorites of the staff without a tip. We were well served everywhere, even after 12 at night they could open a bar and give us what we need, despite the fact that they could get a hat - there are cameras everywhere and everything is recorded.
2) In Sunrise, for the first time, I encountered when you are good with them but nothing to you - you are like a second-class person, 1st - Italians. Horror. But that was the 1st day. We decided (and we traveled as a couple) that we should unite with ours and show how good people the Slavs are. We went to our amphitheater - there we met a wonderful couple. In the afternoon, meet Amina - a positive animator from Kyiv. We decided to go to Space Before the disco, we met a few more cool guys and girls. Actually, it was getting interesting. The next day we got acquainted with many good people from Kharkov, Chernigov, Rostov-on-Don, Vitebsk, etc. We have a good company. We kindly talked with the staff, joked. The attitude of the staff towards us has changed dramatically. Many of them are very good and kind, it's just that apparently our fellow citizens moo to them, so they treat them like that.
We made friends with the bartender on the beach and pool, Mahmud, Ahmed, A. El. Alah. On the beach on the last day, the bartender had tears in his eyes when he found out that we were leaving. The manager of the Italian restaurant Osama, with whom we became friends, was also upset. This man, when we came to him, organized a service for 7 stars! )) Near the reception, they also made friends with the bartenders and made us such cocktails that they don’t make such cocktails according to ultra-enclusive, and even after they cut off the bracelets, they gave us everything we wanted. In general, the conclusion is such a HUMAN FACTOR IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY! No need to be amoebas and snobs, you need to smile more and sincerely thank for the service - this is the secret of a good relationship. Nevertheless, there is an eastern country and I want to say that in terms of mentality they are kind people, responsible for their words. I am very grateful to these good-natured people for an unforgettable vacation. I really hope to meet them sometime in my life.

True, I can’t say anything good about Mukhamed - the guide from Aneks - he was itching for me to crack his hands in the face a couple of times. Insolent, deceitful, huckster.
He tells people to fill out police forms. This card looks so that I, a person who knows a lot about documents, immediately said that it was only possible to go to the toilet with it. It has a column (tablet) in which excursions fit. If you don’t take them from him or don’t go anywhere at all, you don’t need to write anything there. But he threatens, saying that this questionnaire is handed over and the tourist is given a police card without it, they can be put in jail - a lie.
If you don’t take anything from him, he doesn’t decide anything about the hotel - he freezes, although in principle he doesn’t decide anyway. It is better to contact the hotel manager directly - who is there who can be seen on the stand at the entrance to the hotel on the right. And he can not give tickets until the last and threatens that he will give it to the one who will take him to the airport. It is necessary to put pressure on him in this case - he gives everything away. Or, the day before departure, come up and pick it up - it has no right not to give it back.
Nutrition:
1) In Solymar there was good food, but a lot of spices (not every stomach perceived them the first time), crazy lasagna. The ala carte restaurant is nice, and the menu is the same as in the general restaurant. There were no coffee machines, the water for coffee and tea quickly ran out.

2) Sunrise also had good food, 2 restaurants: Italian and Slavic cuisine and 2 a la carte restaurants - one for free per check-in - tasty and interesting (table grill, salads). In Italian, there were still freshly cut cucumbers, unlike Slavic. The cuisine is very tasty. They gave squid, crabs, fish, meat, bacon, delicious sliced cheeses and bacon, grilled fish, lamb barbecue, etc. There were a lot of all sorts of fruits: bananas, oranges, grapefruits, dates, peaches, yellow plums, cherries, green and black grapes, watermelons, melons. Coffee machines are a plus. Alcohol is gin, whiskey is normal, good wine is given only to the elite - good and kind. )
Infrastructure:
1) Big and beautiful, everything was cleaned every day, raked leaves. Interesting design of buildings and exterior.
2) In Sunrise near bushes, etc. didn't bury. The hotel is compact, "maze design" - there are no straight paths. In addition, it is long-lined and it is peculiar and beautiful. Very green.
Beach:
What is the 1st, what is the second is suitable for those traveling with children.
1) There is a plateau, so there is a very small depth - waist-deep. The coral reef is very small in the form of an oasis. You need to be careful - there are lionfish - beautiful, but dangerous.
Towels can be changed throughout the day. Things should be looked after, but there were no thefts here in my presence.
2) The corals are beautiful (though I have seen better), there is a pontoon, you can lie in the water near the shore. There are a lot of different fish: stingray, turtle, lovebirds, Napoleon and many others. Basically, it's good. On the beach and near the pool, good places are taken early, our compatriots also have a Soviet habit, as in the Crimea. In the morning at 6-00 they will leave towels, they will come at 10-00, then they will leave at 10-30, they will come at 16-00 and oh, where did our towels go? Or they will come with the whole family, the child will lose the towel - he will go to the pontoon or somewhere else, they will hang the towel from the neighbors, and the neighbors from the others will start a chain reaction. With us, a family of 10 people arrived, the daughter left, the woman came - counted the towels - one was missing, made a squeal that for 2 days of rest 2 times the towels were pulled away and with a greyhound look and a screech went to the neighbor to steal. I mothered her. The daughter came - it turned out that she walked away, taking her towel.

Towels are issued in one place and the one who issues them will not run to the beach to steal, but they pay for professional towels at the reception, the result - why the hell is the one who issues them to steal ?!
In fact, booking seats on sun loungers is prohibited. And in fact there are a lot of them. The downside is that you can only take towels once a day.
Disco:
1) In Solymar there is, but not much. It's stuffy there. They occasionally take locals. There is good live music.
2) There is no disco, but every day they take local ones. There is live music on the terrace - very cool.
Entertainment:
Children have someone to give under supervision in both hotels.
1) In Solymar, the animation is not bad, without fanaticism. I don't really know what it is right now. Everything else is for money.
2) In Sunrise free table tennis, gym, animation as everywhere else, without fanaticism: bocha, beach volleyball. For Italians it is much cooler. But in the amphitheater, some kind of competitions were held, karaoke was sung.
Healthy:
A taxi to the old city costs 2 dollars or 10 pounds - which is cheaper than in dollars. From the Sunrise Hotel free of charge, by appointment, but during the day from 1-00 to 14-00. You really will be taken to Vova not greedy, who is actually very greedy! ))
Visa. If you don’t go on any excursion, take a shinai only - at the airport, say so and that’s it (it’s free). If you fill out the form yourself (very easy), a visa costs $ 15 on the side to the right of the counter, otherwise $ 17-20.
