I am not a big fan of writing reviews about hotels, but now I decided to write precisely because before the trip we took a long time to make a decision and chose this hotel because it has a lot of rave reviews, in addition, the agency recommended it as a Luxury with good quality food, service, etc. .
Our impression was very ambiguous, I tell in order:
I'll start with the fact that we rested at the hotel in January, perhaps that's why there were so many questions.
So arrival:
arrival was early, at 10 o'clock, for about an hour we waited for the room to be cleaned (which is absolutely normal), without any bribes we were given the very last room on the outskirts of the hotel, but with a sea view, for which special thanks.

Room: Family Suite was bought, as 2 adults + 3 children (10.7 and 3 years old) were resting. This is a two-room suite (bedroom + a kind of living room with 1 bathroom), the children were placed right on the wings of the sofa, which is rather narrow, the youngest was brought a nursery crib. Nice big terrace. Each room has a TV with English, Arabic, Russian and Ukrainian TV channels. The furniture in the room is tired, the bathroom is small and strange: a bathtub and a 60x60 open shower nearby without doors and curtains. Everything in the fridge is for money. There is a kettle with tea and coffee. The room is on the second floor, without access to a separate pool (along all the suites there is a long pool), later we found out that the pool is still not heated in winter, so its presence is a decoration.
Internet: for 2 devices up to 2 GB for free, then you pay 200 lira and get unlimited for 5 devices. The speed is weak, do not watch the video.
Beach: sandy beach, the entrance to the sea is stone, shallow, you won't go in. Swimming only from the pier (a long pier in the sea, descending a ladder) is not suitable for children. Its own small reef, beautiful. The sea is cool in winter, but if you wish, you can go. Windy almost all the time, take jackets, jackets for the evening. One day there was a low tide, the bottom was exposed by 20 meters, and in the puddles of water in the stones, the darkness was dark for all living creatures: stars, hermit crabs, shells, moths, this is impressive.
Pools: the hotel has many pools, but only 2 are heated in winter: the central one in front of the restaurant and the family one with large slides. A small children's pool with small slides is not heated, there is nowhere for kids to swim at all.
Animation: adult unobtrusive is: volleyball, water aerobics and other games. In the evening there is live music in the lounge bar every evening.
There is no daytime children's animation at all: the club is closed, there are no animators, all activities with children come down to a children's "disco" that runs for 30 minutes from 8:30 to 9 pm, 5 songs are the same every day.
Yes, they write a lot about the "singing" fountain in front of the main restaurant, and so it works once a day, at 20:00, for 10 minutes, that's all.

Restaurants are a separate topic: A la carte restaurants are all closed in winter, only the main restaurant is open and there is a separate story about it : ) For the first days after arrival, it seemed to us that the head chef had gone on vacation and was being replaced by a second crawling one: only french fries, pasta are served , beans, one type of fish every day, one type of meat or chicken and... that's it . . There are no snacks for which Arabic cuisine is so famous, there are no vegetables, chopped apples, tangerines, green dates, green guava and the same green persimmon (believe me, I'm not exaggerating, I can distinguish a ripe fruit from a green one). Salads in the evening are made from what was not eaten in the morning and in the afternoon, i. e. they mix pasta with chopped sausages, beans, in general, even putting it on a plate is scary. And all this against the backdrop of a large influx of vacationers from our compatriots from Ukraine, who pile everything that is more or less edible on their plates and sweep away in an instant. The waiters do not have time to wash glasses and plates, so they are never there... When they served potatoes in uniform, it finished me off . . In general, we were just in shock, I thought this approach to relaxation had gone into oblivion back in the 90s, but no...
It is true to say, when the flow of tourists decreased, after January 14, suddenly, as if by magic, everything suddenly began to improve (perhaps the chef returned from vacation? ): vegetables appeared, some kind of snacks, normal edible dishes, but this could no longer affect the overall depressing experience of eating at this hotel. If they can't handle the off-season, then what happens when the hotel is full?
Territory
The territory is not very large, but open, ie. there is a promenade along which you can go to the neighboring hotel without restrictions, there is a street with small shops nearby. There is little greenery on the territory, they are only trying to plant it, probably in 2 years, when bougainville grows it will be beautiful, now, there is nothing special to admire.
A few more words about the excursions of the Anex tour: the first one was offered free of charge, the so-called. "shopping tour", it used to include a trip to the old city to the market. Now they are being transported only to low-grade shopping centers, the usual razvodilovo. We took a taxi ourselves to the old city, where there are delicious mangoes, strawberries and many other tasty and inexpensive fruits on the market. We also went to Soho Square ourselves, it's beautiful.
The second excursion we took was the Pirate yacht, Pirates. Anex-tour guide said that there is a children's program with animation, children are engaged there, adults have a rest. Of course, this turned out to be a lie: adults from different hotels arrived on the yacht, warmed up with whiskey, no children's animation, but the good weather and the wonderful crew of the yacht saved (thank you very much for a great time), the sea, the reef, the sun did their job we did enjoy it : )
Separately, I want to say about Sharm el-Sheikh itself, the crisis, of course, affected everyone, hotels are empty, shops are closing, but from the good: prices have dropped, merchants are ready to bargain.

At the airport, before departure, they shake it 6 times: they search, inspect, before the plane you need to find your suitcase and bring it to the tape yourself, in general, security measures are taken to the best of their ability.
In general, the reason why I decided to write this review is the lack of truthful information, if the hotel claims to be a 5-star luxury, then you need to comply with this at all stages of working with a tourist. Of course, the sea is beautiful, the sun, the sand, everything is fine, but there are many hotels and the competition is great and you need to fight for tourists.
