Rested with his wife in this hotel from 05 to 19 June 2010. We chose for a long time where to go to the sea this year, we have already visited a lot of places, while I wanted to stay at sea for 15 days, and as it turned out, the tour to Spain to this hotel turned out to be the cheapest (Turks and Egyptians with prices this year are completely crazy got off! ) - and now our dream has come true - we are in Spain!
I won’t write about the flight from Moscow and the meeting at the Barcelona airport - everything went fine, without delay.
About the hotel: for such little money and for 3 stars, we did not expect super service from the hotel! Normal hotel for its stars! There are no problems at the reception - there are always Russian-speaking girls. When you check in: each room has its pluses and minuses - we had a 4th floor overlooking the neighboring hotel, where the apartments are for Spanish residents who come to relax by the sea, and sometimes they make a lot of noise until one in the morning! (as it turned out, the most noisy and noisy were pensioners who periodically gathered at the reception - the general noise that they created could only be compared with the sound of a jet plane during takeoff !!!!!! ) But late external noise was with any of sides of the hotel, so sometimes had to close the window. All the walls between the rooms are plasterboard - there is no soundproofing. Towels were changed and "cleaned" every day - the floor was constantly in the sand, even after "cleaning" with a wet rag (tips do not help! ) The bed was changed 3 times. The absence of a refrigerator in the room was a little annoying - there was nowhere to cool wine, food and drinks bought in the supermarket (we had half board: breakfast and dinner). About the beach: we went to our own, and when there were a lot of people or we wanted more waves, we went to the neighboring beach (20 m) of the Gala Font hotel - it is also located in the rocks, but 3 times larger. The water temperature was all the time 20-22 degrees - you can't sit for a long time! About food: breakfasts - a lot of fruit, but otherwise the same, like all breakfasts in all hotels, the only difference was in the presence of semi-dry champagne! Dinner is just some kind of gluttonous meal: from fruits: watermelons, pineapples, melons, kiwis, oranges, apples, strawberries, cherries, peaches, apricots; seafood: twice there were tiger prawns, three times boiled mussels right in the shells, there were always several types of fried and stewed fish; there have always been meat dishes in various cooking options: pure meat cutlets, lamb, veal, pork, chicken, turkey (I won’t write about sausages - there were also many different ones), once they gave them a delicacy - jamon - very tasty! Their soups are delicious! There were a lot of salads and vegetables too! Drinks at dinner were paid (3-4 times more expensive than in a supermarket), San Miguel beer is not bad! There was always ice cream in yogurt cups! For dinner, it was better to come at 19.00 to take a seat near the window overlooking the SEA!!!!! ! Each woman, on Fridays, is given a rose - nice! Territory: small, but cozy, hidden from all sides. The main pool is clean (before breakfast, you throw a towel on a sunbed near the pool and it's yours all day! ) Went into the sea, walked 50 meters, returned to the sunbed - very convenient and you don't have to pay for sunbeds on the beach! The beach and the sea are clean, only when there were waves, the water near the shore was muddy.

Travel: we went to Salou - 30-40 minutes on foot - after such a dinner it is very useful. We bought a T-10 travel card for local buses near the red booth and within a radius of 20 km from Salou we traveled for 0.89 Euro per person per trip: we went to Reus three times (there is something to see and a lot of cheap shops), were in Tarragona (very beautiful old part of the city. We took two excursions “Gaudi and the Singing Fountains” in the red booth and a visit to Mount Montserrat (only without visiting the winery, because even 4 hours of free time on the mountain is not enough to see everything interesting). Excursions are very good, with a Russian guide and are almost 2 times cheaper than in a hotel. Plus, at the end of each tour they give a coupon for a discount of 3 Euros when buying the next tour or when traveling to Barcelona on the Plana bus! We didn’t go by train to Barcelona (it’s inconvenient to get to the station in Salou from the hotel), we went by regular bus - 17 Euro (with a discount) back and forth (the bus runs every hour until almost 23 hours, left at 9 am, returned at 9 pm , and had time for dinner). In order to see Barcelona at least from more, you need to go there at least 3-4 times for the whole day!
Shopping: bought clothes, shoes, etc. in Reus and Barcelona. My wife and I have poor knowledge of English. When buying goods over 91 Euros in one store, ask for tax-free registration (they issue it without problems). When buying goods in the Mango, Zara, Fema, Berzhka and other chain stores, tax-free is issued by summing checks (even if the goods were purchased in another city). And if you bought some thing, for example, in Barcelona, tried it on again in a hotel room and it didn’t suit you, then you can exchange it, return it at any store of this chain in any city - very convenient!! ! When you fly back, put all the things you bought (for tax free) in a separate bag or in one suitcase on top, because. very often, when making a tax-free return at the airport, they require you to show the purchased items, according to the receipts (upon arrival at Barcelona airport, the first thing to do is run to the end of the hall (to the statue of a fat horse) and queue up for paperwork for tax free) .
Flight to Moscow: the flight was delayed for two hours, and as the aircraft commander explained to us later - this happens regularly due to the fault of the airport ground services - they (like all Spaniards) do everything somehow slowly, measuredly, without rushing - some downs !! ! Therefore, for those who, after arriving in Moscow, still need to transfer somewhere and go (fly) further, be sure to make an adjustment in time for a possible flight delay.
We were satisfied with the rest, we will plan to come again to see everything that we did not have time, but not to this hotel, I would like to be closer to Barcelona!
