We went in July 2011. Hotel Barcelo Ponent Playa is a good hotel, excellent location, the beach starts right from the hotel. The beach is quite clean, there is always a place to land, we didn’t use sunbeds, we basked on the sand.
There are many Russian-speaking vacationers, but this does not spoil the rest at all. All families with children. From foreigners - too, either family or elderly.
The rooms are cozy, everything is there, they clean the room, however, so-so. Towels and sheets are changed under pressure. But this holiday did not really spoil.
The territory of the hotel is quite large, 3 bars, playgrounds for animations, a playground, a large swimming pool. Walk around the territory was where everything is well-groomed, clean.
About animation: only children used daytime animation, the Russian-speaking club Tukan was very pleased. Although the rest of the children also had fun in the miniclub, even the language barrier did not interfere.
Oh, very friendly staff, cheerful animators (well done - they delighted us with excellent performances in the evenings), the attitude towards everyone is the same, there is no division into nationalities.
The most amazing thing is, of course, the sea - an unusual color, very beautiful, transparent and clean.
The only downside is the food. The choice is large: a variety of meat, fruits, sweets, all kinds of side dishes, but it is difficult to eat, the taste sensations were not pleasing, the children ate almost nothing for all 2 weeks. There is no baby food at all.
The town of Calador is calm, clean, snow-white. Everything you need is there - restaurants, cafes, shops, supermarkets, playgrounds and parks. It was nice to walk along its streets in the evenings. And it’s not so far from Palma (45 minutes drive), we went on an excursion and shopping to the capital of the island with pleasure. It is also convenient to travel from and to the airport on comfortable buses.
In general, the rest was a success, everything we went for was received. The tour operator of the East Kazakhstan region - well done, the organization of the meeting, delivery, excursions is excellent. Thanks.
