The hotel is located at the foot of the Cretan mountains, on the shores of a picturesque bay, in the center of the village of Bali, close to many shops and taverns. Recommended for a relaxing family holiday and for those who like to travel on their own. Due to the ups and downs, Bali Village is not recommended for people with mobility issues. The hotel consists of the Bali Beach building, located on the seafront, and the Bali Village bungalow complex, which is located on a hill across the road.More →

I liked everything, except for the assortment of alcohol in the bar and the stingy bartender. Most of all I remember the daily family swims between the bays. Swimming for 2-3 hours added a lot of impressions, health and did not let fat get started !! ! So, it was a digression, now about the hotel : )
Actually, about everything in order - let's start with the airport in Heraklion, where all charters arrive (although there is another airport in Crete, they say no worse, but for some reason not used by charters), we will finish with it at the end... We arrived at about 8 in the morning, surprisingly quickly passed through passport control (opened all the windows), but then miracles began - there are four baggage claim belts at the airport, on small screens information about where the luggage came from, on the screen the inscription says that on the tape No. 3 should be luggage from the Kiev flight... everyone is waiting, but the tape does not even spin... having nothing to do, I decide to take a walk around the territory and at the same time to the neighboring tape, where the luggage is on the flight from Domodedovo, what was my surprise when I saw how our suitcases waltzed on the ribbon from Domodedovo. . .
Well, okay, it's good that they were found at all : ) By the way, the landing is amazing - the runway starts at the edge of the sea and it seems that the plane is landing on the water!!!
The way to the hotel is very beautiful, our acquaintance with the island of Crete actually begins with it, an island with a very rich history, an island with breathtaking landscapes, chic cuisine and no less colorful alcoholic culture, with an island where olive trees grow everywhere instead of the trees we are used to. , pomegranates and limes, and the island itself is in fact one of the main suppliers of olive oil and olives themselves.
But we learned all this ourselves, since we were not very lucky with the guide... A guy named Kostya told us a quarter of the way to which hotels the bus would take us now, and the remaining three quarters peacefully filled up his sleepless sleep. Well, okay, we were driving, looking around, enjoying the views from the window!
Well, here we are at the hotel, having reached the hotel in 40-50 minutes (the time flew by unnoticed), we go down a little to the reception, where, having filled out the questionnaires, we are given a room with a beautiful sea view right above the pool (if anything, number 414, by the way, in the hotel you you will not find a single number that would end in 13... we had a neighboring number with the number 412, and next to it 411, behind us 415). So - there are no problems with the settlement (but this, of course, provided that the hotel has free rooms, and so - our friends expected a room until 14.00. You are wearing bracelets, you start using all the privileges of the hotel, but... you wait 14.00 - check-in rules are as follows - check-out 12.00, check-in 14.00).
The whole further story will be mainly about BALI BEACH because we really were not in the VILLAGE. So - the room is available, the view from the room is one of the best (I repeat - this is all without money, scandals, etc.... - just smile more often and be friendly! They don’t even take tips... at least in this hotel didn’t take a penny of tip from us - we also offered for the fact that they helped us to drag our bags to the room, etc. ), we begin to explore the territory - the hotel has three pools, two of which are in the lower buildings (which are near sea) they are called BALI BEACH, and another one is located across the road and a little up (on the mountain) called BALI VILLAGE. In this regard, be careful when ordering a room - from the upper to the lower buildings and actually to the sea, the path is not close - approximately 300 steps and across the road, the upper one is of course cheaper, but in 40-degree heat (if it is July-August) the way difficult even for a trained person.
There are three of them in the hotel bars, BUT... the bar on the beach is completely paid, since in Greece almost all beaches are municipal, the hotel does not miss the opportunity to earn some money (opens at 10 closes at 18), the second bar, if you climb a little higher up the stairs it’s already free (but it opens at 11) and you can find almost all types of locally produced alcohol, water, juices (it’s better not to take it - the banal UPI if anyone remembers), beer, and here you can have a snack during the day or sandwiches or sweets. And all the alcohol is pretty good quality! Amused rum with the name Barcadi instead of the well-known Bacardi. The third evening bar is located in the hotel lobby and is open from 18 to 23 (the range is similar to the second bar). If you want to rest further, that is, after 23, then already for money or three steps across the road there is a supermarket that is open until 23.30 approximately and you can buy everything your heart desires (we "polished" with local beer..... I don’t remember the name, but I remember the cost - a bank of 0.5 per euro) In terms of nutrition - it is monotonous, but you won’t have to starve for sure! There was always meat and fish for lunch. Breakfasts are mainly eggs in different variations, sausage, cheeses. Dinner is similar to lunch. Also at lunch and dinner there were first courses - a local soup-puree (as for me it’s hellishly salty... I took it only a couple of times and then only because the soups were different - I hoped that there would be less salt....guessed wrong) There were also desserts in the form of pastries, various jams and, most importantly, local honey (even though I don’t like honey, but there....mmmm... It’s really tasty !!! ) Now on excursions and actually to the village of Bali itself - excursions, as elsewhere, are offered by both the tour operator and local companies. We took both from the operator and from local guides. Difference? The difference in cost....the operator has good markups (although it is worth considering each option separately - the operator may have a more extensive program with meals, for example... there are many options, look at the place) But you definitely shouldn’t be afraid to take excursions from local companies necessary!! ! And one more thing - if you are in Crete, I definitely recommend renting a car and go-go-go!! ! By renting a car, we saved a considerable amount on excursions... approximately 250-300 euros for two, this is provided that we would take excursions to the same places where we ourselves were. By the way, you should not be afraid to take a car at all - the people on the roads are very adequate! The only thing is that local youth have fun by painting over or shooting signs of restrictions... whether it's a "STOP" sign or an ordinary speed limit. What else about the hotel?... Yes, in principle, everything seems to have been told... The hotel is definitely worth the money! And, by the way, take "soapy-rylnoe" with you - there is only soap in the room... There are enough towels and they are changed.
Thanks to those who had the patience to finish reading! : )
If you suddenly have questions regarding the hotel or Crete in general - ask without hesitation! : ) I will answer you with pleasure! I just have only positive memories of the trip! Holidays in Crete are worth every cent spent on it!! !

Good afternoon, everyone! I want to share my impressions of the hotel and the resort in general. We vacationed in the homeland (two adults and 2 children aged 6 and 9). The hotel is just great - he answered his 3 * with his head. Very friendly staff, quite clean, very tasty cooking. There is a problem for parents with small children - the whole hotel is built on a slope - so many steps (we counted from the beach to the restaurant - 80 steps, in addition to the room we had to go another 120 steps; -)), but we scored only 2 kg; -)) The hotel beach is located in the bay - where the sea is constantly calm. … More ▾ Good afternoon, everyone!

The hotel beach is located in the bay - where the sea is constantly calm. There were storms all over Crete for a few days (we even ended up in the Libyan Sea), and our bays were quiet.
As for car rental - we turned to Cammel - an agency near the hotel and drove without problems for 1 day in Crete, by the way opposite the car rental agency is a travel agency (there are wonderful couples from Moldova) - they helped us a lot with the selection of tours.
Well, like everything.

Very good hotel! But only for young people and if children, then at least 7 years old))) The territory of the hotel is solid steps. And we were generally settled on the top floor, but it was true that it was not stressful to walk. . . but this is because we are active, and the rest - I don’t know how it was! But the view from our room was just amazing! It was worth climbing the steps for him! And the sea there is simply AMAZING, I have never seen such a clean one anywhere else! But we still went there every day, as the beach there and the sea won significantly! And besides, after the all-inclusive for 12 days, I did not get better! (it just doesn't happen to me! ))) So, something else about the hotel - the rooms are neat, cleaned well, regardless of whether you leave a tip. They feed well. At the reception there is wi-fi for the cat. you need to pay (but ask our tourists, for example, they gave me the password for free))) There is mutual assistance among our tourists! And on the beach in the 4th bay there is also Wi-Fi from a nearby cafe. . . the password is simple - a set of numbers 12345. . . it seems or 123456. . . Well, in general, a set of numbers in order. In conclusion, I will say that this is so far the first of the hotels in which I have rested, in which I would return! But it's more about the location. Bali in Crete is super!

I had to make a fuss, they didn’t give us a room, but they promised to change it in the morning after breakfast, They gave us a bonus - free sunbeds and an umbrella for 12 days. In the morning, everything was moved as promised, but the mood was spoiled (I went to celebrate my birthday). All Negativity was smoothed out by our guide Elena from TUI. Well done girl worked for 5..... Towels were changed every other day, (like the bed)... Or after the scandal....And you can live in a hotel, only the food there is all stewed. My husband and I went to eat the grill at Valentino's tavern. Friendly people, delicious food, huge portions and the cheapest place in Bali....

As expected, it turned out so - the Hellenes are delighted, hearing their language from the lips of the visiting Russians.
Departure from Domodedovo at 10-00. Boeing 737. I'm at the window! The weather is clear. First, forests, roads, residential settlements, rivers (including the Oka). Then four-color patchwork rectangles are Ukraine (dark and light green, yellow and brown-brown). Further along the coast and the Black Sea. Boats are occasionally seen. An hour later, the shore is Turkey again. Then watering. Sea and islands. Descent and safe landing. Total 3 hours 40 minutes.
We pass customs without any problems. The airport is small. Crush at baggage claim.
On the plane, the pilot announced that the time difference was 2 hours. On the bus, Moscow time is on the electronic clock. The guide, a girl, does not know for sure, but, doubting, assumes that 1 hour. It becomes interesting. The guide, distorting the accents, informs us that they have all Russian guides.
The landscapes outside the bus window are quite interesting, they cannot be compared with the Egyptian ones. Sea, mountains, palm trees, cypresses, willows, olives. The houses are reminiscent of Turkish and Cairo ones - there are barrels on the roofs, often there are no glasses.
An hour later we arrive at the hotel. Bali Beach Village. The beginning immediately spoils the mood.
Instead of two single rooms, my friend and I are given one double room. Although it was paid differently. I can't stand the smell of nicotine, and Alexei smokes. I am a lark and he is an owl. I love silence, he talks without interruption. We were not going to live together. It's normal not to fall apart. I talked to other vacationers, they also had similar problems. For example, at first they settled in one room, after some time they moved to another.
The hotel has a seaside-mountain location. From the reception to the sea 95 steps. From the reception to the room up another 140 steps. Pleasant little.
Air conditioning, although not perfect, but still works. Having moved the beds, I made sure that the air conditioner did not blow on me. The room is periodically visited by small ants.
The beach is wonderful. Small sand. Moderately flat bottom. The water holds, almost like the Red Sea. The sea is clean and transparent. Almost no wind or waves. Beach in the depths of the bay. You can swim all over the bay: more than 200 meters. One nuance. If you stand in the water without moving, then small fish bite your legs. First at the heels, and then above. Unusual and unpleasant. There are pools, albeit small ones. There is no animation.
The landscapes are very beautiful. There are a number of shops near the hotel. In the evening at sunset it is very nice to take a walk. It gets dark by 9 pm. Dawn from 6 am.
The cuisine is very tasty. The meat is cooked wonderfully. In the morning sausages and sausages. No soy, unlike Turkey and Egypt. Juices are not powder, but normal. Good cheese. The fish is not very good. Delicious watermelons and salads. Good wine and beer. Strong drinks are not served in the cafeteria.
Cleaning in the rooms is not intrusive: I'm at lunch - the cleaner quickly cleans up. Tips are not asked for.
Excursion.
Knossos - Lychnostatis.
02.08. bus at 8:30 am. No vacant tables. 9:30 a. m. Palace of Knossos. The ancient Minoan state - 2 thousand years BC First in Europe. We were lucky. Taxi drivers blocked the approach to the cash registers. Therefore, on this day, the museum was allowed free of charge. We saved 6 euros. The palace, together with the vaults-labyrinths, is small. Hot. In the shade +35. But there is little shade. The guide tells different legends. The Minoans were miniature. Height is about 150cm. Weight 45kg. The national occupation is bullfighting. And at first it was necessary, being in his way, to grab the horns and jump over the bull, flying between the horns. Visitors, trying to do this, died. So there were rumors that in Crete the bull kills people. Bulls were also sacrificed.
About 1 thousand years BC. After a devastating seventy-meter tsunami, the Achaeans and Dorians (ancestors of the Greeks) captured the weakened state. There are often (5-6 times a year) earthquakes. Usually 3-5 points. Previously, specially kept snakes. Those felt the approach of the earthquake for 1-1.5 hours. The maze didn't impress me. Ruins ruins. Freshly squeezed juice 1.5-3 euros 300 grams.
Then we went to the capital - Heraklion. About 260 thousand inhabitants. From Freedom Square and the Astoria Hotel we went to the Cathedral of St. Titus. Paul brought the news of Christ, and then Titus founded a Christian church here.
Then a free walk around the city. We went to the pier, walked around the center, among the shops. The "Russians" are treated well here. We ate at the cafe. Portions are very large in European style. We walked around the park. Passing by the prefecture, we noticed a lot of posters and inscriptions. The content for the government is not very pleasant.
Then we went to the museum of Cretan life - Lychnostatis. We looked at how families lived in the 18th and 20th centuries. We got acquainted with national crafts. Those who wish even tried themselves in them. Children happily stomped on the grapes. We tried national drinks (rosehip tincture with cinnamon) and food. We saw the first jet ski, learned that it was invented in Crete. We got acquainted with national dances.
At 19-10 we arrived at the hotel. Tired, but did not regret the trip.
Return.
The bus was late. To the hotel, the driver did not want to drive up. I had to go with things to the bus about 500 meters. We arrived at the airport an hour before departure. The queues are very long. The staff refuses to help despite the fact that we are late for the plane. As a result, the plane waited for me an extra half an hour. The stewards tried to reproach me, but I spoke out. The flight went well. I liked the small screen that transmitted information about the flight and our location. Wonderful scenery outside the window. Flying up to Moscow, they noticed fires, although not many. Landing harsh, but all ended well.
harsh, but all ended well.

Yes, there are two branches of the settlement - above and below. Ask below. Two swimming pools with chlorine. And the sea - with a good entrance and the purest water. The danger in the sea can only be a hedgehog, which does not need to be stepped on. There are a lot of fish in the water and despite the lack of entertainment for children, you can safely ride with them, both in terms of the sea / pool and food. It is excellent - not a very wide choice, but everything is very tasty, which was noted by many tourists in the guest book. Fruits can be bought in grocery stores, as we lacked watermelon, apples and oranges. The diet is limited by time frames, but when the restaurant is closed there is a bar where you can take drinks and tea with a sandwich. You can't stay hungry. There is a very decent doctor in the village who helped both me and my sister. Very prompt and paid for by insurance. Disadvantage - you need to know English / German. . . Ours arrives there, but this is not a typical contingent, and as a result, neither Russian nor Ukrainian is enough there (many Poles, Czechs, Germans... ). Internet for a fee. The village is nice and small, there are many shops, restaurants, even a disco. It’s true that it’s true to drive from the airport along a serpentine, and this is a minus for those who get motion sickness. Would return with kids. Liked.
