Carp fishing in Croatia on Lake Tribalj.

The 2012 fishing season continues on the Tribalj mountain lake, which is located in the Vinodol valley, just a 5-minute drive from the city of Crikvenica and the Adriatic coast!
Lake Tribalj with an area of .41 hectares is one of the five best fresh water bodies in Croatia, where fishing for big-sized carp and catfish species is allowed and carried out. The mild Mediterranean climate allows fishing all year round and 24 hours a day on Lake Tribal.
In the local sports and fishing society, whose office is located next to the lake, you will be happy to give you an introductory briefing on local rules and customs, give professional advice and talk about the features of fishing in this reservoir. There are carps on the lake (the maximum weight of a caught individual in 2012 was 22.8 kg), grass carp, catfish, silver carp, crucian carp and other types of fish.
On the lake it is allowed to fish with spinning rods from a stape with a counter-cook. It is also allowed to use a shock leader and various types of complementary foods. The rules of the club provide for the mandatory use of a landing net. The amount of feeding during fishing is not limited by the rules. Groundbait and bait, as well as a fishing permit, can be purchased (by prior agreement) on the spot, so you do not need to carry extra luggage with you.
There are 22 comfortable fishing positions around the lake, which are equipped with a barbecue, a table and benches, there is a site for setting up a tent:
• The territory on the embankment along the lake is specially equipped, the boundaries of the fishing positions are marked with marks, the passage of strangers through the positions is prohibited, which allows you not to be distracted during the fishing process.
If desired, you can grill the caught fish on the grill near the office of the fishing society, where tables and chairs are located, water is supplied and there are refrigerators for storing food and drinks.
•The territory of the southern and northern parts of the lake is located in a forest plantation, you can drive up to the fishing positions by car, free parking is provided. Each fishing site has a barbecue, a table and benches. There is a place for setting up a tent. On a hot day, you can hide from the sun's rays in the shade of lush trees growing right on the shore of the lake. No more than 2 fishermen are allowed at each fishing position.
It is possible to organize both one-day and fishing for several days (with an overnight stay in a stylized mini-hotel on a mountain river or with accommodation in private apartments near the lake). There are no restrictions on fishing time on the lake.
Due to the peculiarities of carp fishing, it is recommended to plan fishing on the lake for at least 2-3 days in order to obtain maximum results and enjoyment.
Every year, the European Championships are held on Lake Tribal. Everyone can take part in competitions, and just go fishing. Due to the large number of people wishing to fish on the one of a kind lake in Croatia and the limited number of fishing positions, we recommend that you take care of reserving a position and ordering additional services in advance.
