Compared to other offers, Benczur is a fairly budget option with an excellent location. Sights within walking distance, a couple of minutes walk to the Heroes' Square.
We were settled immediately upon arrival, at 12.00, we did not have to wait until 14.00.
The room is spacious and has everything you need.
Wallpaper, carpet, curtains, old, it is clear that the repair was a long time ago. In the quality of cleaning, too, you can find fault.
But the bed and towels are clean and white.
From the bathroom accessories there was liquid soap, it is also shampoo.
Hairdryer, TV worked. The room was warm.
In the room mini-bar, paid.
The price included breakfast.
Cheese, sausage, sausages, asparagus, mushrooms. Tomatoes, peppers, olives, salads, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, cereals.
Juices, tea, coffee, milk, pastries.
Breakfast suited us.
All in all, a very good option for an overnight stay. I recommend!

I want to share my impressions of staying at the Benzur 3 hotel. So, everything is in order. We rested in April 2012. We arrived in Budapest at 8 am (we drove our own car) and immediately went to the hotel. At the reception, I had to remember the school English course, because. because absolutely no one understands Russian, we were kindly answered that it is possible to settle only at 14.00, before the room will not be ready. We left our things in the car and went for a walk. As it turned out, the hotel has a very good location. Everything is nearby: the main attraction (after the Parliament) is Heroes' Square, by the way, all excursions start from there, the wonderful Varoshliget park, the castle with the abusive name Vajdahunyad and the wonderful Szé chenyi baths. When we returned to the hotel, a very pleasant surprise awaited us, at the reception they offered a superio instead of the booked standard (unless of course we mind??? ). The room is just super! Large double bed, balcony, spacious bathroom, refrigerator, TV, everything is perfectly clean. Breakfast started at 7.30 in a large spacious dining room and consisted of: various types of cereals, jam, honey, milk, yogurt, fresh vegetables (sliced tomatoes and cucumbers), eggs, sausages, salad a la Olivier, juice-diluted yupi, coffee from a machine, fresh pastries. In a word, nothing special. The hotel staff is very friendly, helpful and helpful in any matter. On the ground floor of the hotel there is a restaurant, you can have a great time in the evening. If we are in Budapest, I would go there again without hesitation.

The only thing that surprised me was the presence in the bathroom of only a hairdryer and liquid soap, but this is a trifle. I recommend this hotel.

I will make a reservation - I am a long-standing tourist, I found Soviet minimalism in its prime and was not used to luxury, therefore I judge from the standpoint of sufficiency. The main thing is to see the country. About the room: neat, without a balcony, TV (ORT present), small refrigerator; the bathroom is combined with a toilet, quite decent size, hair dryer, no safe in the room (I used it for free at the reception). No soap or other bathroom items. Two small armchairs. Towels were changed and trash was taken out. The only inconvenience is that the windows of the room overlook the main entrance of the hotel and the restaurant, for this reason, almost every night, at 3-4 o'clock, I woke up from the screams of walking tourists from Western powers. Compatriots were not heard. About the hotel: breakfasts (buffet) are worthy of praise, for three stars it's just excellent. Lots of pastries, hearty and tasty. The staff is not that rude, but somehow somewhat detached and without a smile refers to the Russian tourist. There was no rudeness. Communicated exclusively in English, they do not know Russian. When leaving, I was unpleasantly surprised by the requirement to pay a tourist tax (about 1 euro per person per day). This collection was not notified in advance. The location is a good, green, quiet area with embassies, near the metro and the park. The air is clean, drinking water from the tap is tasty and safe. I recommend eating from the Turks - two times cheaper than restaurants, varied, tasty, large portions, self-service (without tips). I especially liked the place on the boulevard near the Margaret bridge.

I will write only the truth and I'm not setting up. As a person who has traveled, I can give a real assessment of both the country and the hotel.
I'll start with excursions, they are rustic (in the sense of listening and seeing), but not long and there are no crowds of tourists. So you can see everything calmly, without fear that you will be trampled by another wave of tourists, as in Italy. So everything is quiet and normal and even interesting in places.
Budapest is a city created for beginner tourists. Everything is very simple to not decency. Walking around the city with a map is very easy. the main pedestrian part is small, the streets are simple and the names are easy to read. Full of all sorts of attractions as in any corner of Europe, all the same well, maybe simpler and there is no that chic and pathos of Prague and Vienna. Many cafes where I understand both Russian and English. The prices are just laughter, I won’t write numbers, just divide our cafe account in half and get the cost there. And about the food is a separate story. Everything is very tasty in their national food, everything is only for our beloved stomach, I didn’t hear a single complaint about such a problem there, unlike in Thailand or Prague. It is also worth visiting their main attractions - the baths.
I heard about our tour operator for the first time “1000 roads”, but everything turned out to be just wonderful. Very good service, guides are normal, no problems.
Well, now about the hotel. The hotel is not in the center, in the embassy area, so everything is clean, tidy, quiet and feels like a very decent quarter. And in the central part of Pest it is very dirty, noisy, a lot of people and repairs. And the main detail around the corner of our hotel is the Heroes' Square, from which they take on all excursions. And from hotels in Pest, people get on their own or by car. The hotel is full of Russians. I took the superior room, it turned out to be exactly like in the pictures, the room is very clean, with new furniture, obviously this is part of the hotel after the overhaul. The food was good, for breakfast it's normal without frills. Cleaned well, changed towels every day. There are no complaints about the hotel. In general, the hotel, though 3 *, but quite pull on all 4 *. I hope, in any case, you did not come there to sit in a hotel. All the best!
