The hotel is located on the outskirts of Budapest (outskirts in the truest sense of the word). Except for one supermarket, there is nothing nearby, except for factories and parking lots. It takes 35 minutes to get to the center of Budapest by bus (this is if the express train goes non-stop). The rooms are small, the furniture is old, dirty, they don’t pay attention to cleaning, food is scarce and for those who managed to come up at exactly 7. … More ▾ The hotel is located on the outskirts of Budapest (outskirts in the truest sense of the word). The rooms are small, the furniture is old, dirty, they don’t pay attention to cleaning, food is scarce and for those who managed to come up at exactly 7.00, if later, thenwhat's left. But it's not the worst. STEAL!!!!!!!!! Moreover, without hiding it, since the hotel administration covers the staff in everything. every evening returning to the room after the tour, we found that things were dug up, pockets turned inside out (no one tried to hide this), money left in the pockets of jackets and jeans regularly disappeared. And this was the case with all members of our group. Neither the complaints of the hotel administration nor the calls to the police led to anything. I urge you, if you value your money, things and nervous system - IN NO EVENT DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!! !

Polus - I first encountered the amazing conditions of this hotel back in October 2004, but then, thanks to common efforts and an unforgettable scandal, I managed to avoid staying in it. the story is old - but the meaning boils down to the fact that tourists traveling alone tried to settle in 2-bed rooms with a double bed (there were just 2 different blankets, but the bed was shared). … More ▾ Polus - I first encountered the amazing conditions of this hotel back in October 2004, but then, thanks to common efforts and an unforgettable scandal, I managed to avoid staying in it.
the story is old - but the meaning boils down to the fact that tourists traveling alone tried to settle in 2-bed rooms with a double bed (there were just 2 different blankets, but the bed was shared). By the way, European tours often suffer from such a problem (I don’t know how anyone, but sleeping with an unfamiliar aunt in the same bed is at least unpleasant for me, especially since the history of her illnesses in the past and in the present is clearly unknown to me). We then quarreled, motivated by the fact that they put strangers in one room, and, lo and behold, we were lucky - they moved to another hotel - everything was ok there.
But you can't run away from fate - and in November 2008 I'm back in Polus. This time - 1-bed room, cramped, but it does not matter. But the broken plumbing in the bathroom upset me (they said that Russian tourists (they can be both Russians and Ukrainians . . ) are to blame. And breakfast - sausage with a smell and in a sticky film (the first sign of staleness) for the sins of Russian-speaking tourists hard to write. .
Polus is still that rooming hole. They take advantage of the fact that, as a rule, no one lives there for more than 3 nights, otherwise the tourists would not have survived!

A trip from the tour operator "Alliance" (Kyiv) in July 2007. The overall rating is 2+. sun blinds on some windows did not work, air conditioners
practically did not work. And this is in the heat of 40 degrees !! ! All the way
(in both directions) they only gave tea three times, but only because of the demands of the passengers. Of course, the tour program included a coffee maker. Also, the bus was never cleaned all the way - on the way back, various wastes of human activity lay underfoot.
Our escort, Jeanne, was somewhere far away from us in her soul: calm, imperturbable. She didn’t provide us with practically any interesting, useful information. scheduled for the next day. In general, we arrived in Budapest at 9 am, and settled at 6 pm. Tired from the road, dirty, sticky, hungry, in the heat for 40!
Hotel "POLUS" - stuffed, dirty rooms, with non-working air conditioners, cockroaches, behind the ring road. In Eger, on the way back, Zhanna offered to taste goulash in one of the 22 taverns, but the money had to be paid in advance - 7 euros. On the spot, of course, it turned out that the red price to him
3 euros. On the way back, I shared my "impressions" of the trip with Zhanna. In response: "And I think the trip was great, but what didn't you like? " I did not spread my thoughts along the tree, I promised to leave my review on the network, which I did now. If at least one person is stopped by my review from traveling to Hungary with Alliance, I will consider that I have done a good deed!
P. S: Budapest itself is good, but I owe everything good that I got from the trip only to myself

I must say the hotel is 50/50. I was there at the end of July. Hotel pros: - the food is not bad - the rooms are normal (designed only to sleep) - every day the rooms are cleaned, and pretty good. Minuses: - old air conditioners (many complained that they did not work at all, although it worked fine for me) - I lived on the side of McDonald's (located right next to Polyush). … More ▾ I must say the hotel is 50/50. Minuses:
- old air conditioners (many complained that they did not work at all, although it worked fine for me)
- I lived on the side of McDonald's (located right next to Polyush). It's better not to open the windows, because all the cinders and soot go to your room. (I used only the air conditioner. I closed the windows upon arrival, and did not open until the end of the tour) .
- From the window there was a view not only of McDonald's, but also of the local cemetery.
- The elevator is very slow, so many tourists climbed the stairs.
- Yes, there is a swimming pool, which is located inside the hotel, but it is paid. They could have made it free of charge.
Near the hotel there is a Tesco suprmarket, everything except it there is nowhere else to go for a walk. There is no beauty in the area. It takes about 30 minutes to get from the center to the hotel. All nonsense is what they write 15 (by taxi, yes, but not by bus). It's better to take bus 73 and get to the terminal. Five minutes walk and you are in Polyusha.
People Who will go to Hungary, ask the tour operator which bus you are traveling on, because if the bus is 2-story, then it's terrible. as there is already a queue to the toilet, then to the store. If you already got a 2-storey one, then ask by chance if this is Neoplan 10.98 KA. If so, refuse the tour. This is Fear, not the bus. with them, the back bends with difficulty.
I wish you a pleasant holiday without any problems!

We had a great rest in Hungary, BUT if you value your time, nerves and money, do not contact the AMOREDE travel agency, located in Paterson, Malinovsky st. , 12. Ie. the rest turned out to be excellent only because, apparently, I’m not the only one who no longer wants to deal with them, so they themselves could not recruit a group and transferred our applications to another agency, in particular to Alliance - so the trip was a success. … More ▾ We had a great rest in Hungary, BUT if you value your time, nerves and money, do not contact the AMOREDE travel agency, located in Paterson, Malinovsky st. , 12. We were on a bus tour. So the hotel is just for sleeping, having breakfast and taking dry food with you. There is a bowling alley and a swimming pool, in which the water is cold all the time, about 17C. Near McDonald's and the smell is appropriate. Another positive point is that there is a Tesko supermarket and a Polush center nearby where you can spend time.
