Having traveled almost 500 km in a day, I had neither the strength nor the desire to return to Netanya. After all, the next morning I had to go with tourists to Ein Karem, Bethlehem, the Mar Saba monastery ...It was early 10 at the clock and I decided to spend the night somewhere in the city center. The choice fell on the Capitol Hotel, because recently we have quite a lot of self-tourists from this hotel booking group excursions.

The check-in was extremely fast - despite the late hour (around 21:30) I was quickly given the key to room 101 and one of the hotel staff escorted me to the room and quickly showed me everything. He hurried to the pilgrims from Russia who were waiting for him in the lobby, whom he was supposed to accompany to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher...

Everything was in order in the room, but some moments surprised and strained me.
For example, the need to lock the door from the inside with a key and boil the kettle, placing the tray on a soft stool ...
The room is large and spacious. The condition of the furniture is quite good. The TV was missing - broken, I guess. It did not upset me - I just wanted to sleep ...
The bathroom is also big. There is a bathroom. Comfortable sink, large mirror, powerful hair dryer...Even the bidet is installed : )
The air conditioner worked properly. There is no remote control, but the control panel is very sophisticated : )
There is no view from the window. The hotel has 4 residential floors. I had the 1st one (the one above the restaurant floor). It has rooms without fresh renovation and bars on the windows : (
The lobby is spacious and well appointed. The furniture is not new but in good condition. There are 2 TVs.

After drinking a glass of tea (they give out disposables), I went to rearrange the car. I left it in the wrong place, because I was in a hurry to check in. At night they don’t fine, but in the morning they can.
I was lucky - there was a free space right in front of the hotel. Not free - from 8 am to evening costs about 5 nis. /hour. So the first thing I did in the morning was pay for parking.
I couldn't find a vending machine and had to use the app on my Pango+ mobile phone. I did it very timely - 15 minutes after that, I received an SMS with a notification that the city inspector checked the car for parking fees. So I didn't lose 100 NIS. for a fine : )
After I walked to the Old City. It took about 5 minutes. Back - faster, because I did not stop to take a picture of something interesting. And on the street Sallah ad-Din there is something to stop the eye!

Upon returning to the hotel, I immediately went to the restaurant. At the same time as me, pilgrims from Russia began to come there. So, our breakfast was purely "Russian" : )
The choice of food is not great, but everything is fresh and tasty.
Unfortunately, the assortment does not change from day to day - so I was told by pilgrims who stayed in this hotel for more than 1 night ...
As you can see from the photo, sausage and sausages are adjacent to cheese. And also there is natural milk...This indicates that the food in this hotel is NOT kosher.

Having had a hearty breakfast, I quickly packed up and left a modest, but at the same time quite decent hotel in a quiet place in East Jerusalem. I recommend it to unpretentious tourists who value proximity to the Old City and who are not embarrassed by the Middle Eastern flavor of the surroundings!
