Advantages of the hotel: 1. The most important advantage is the magnificent view from the window across the Kidron Valley to Jerusalem: the Old City, the Temple Mount, Zion. According to this criterion, we chose this hotel. Of course, a stunning view opens both from the Seven Arches Hotel and from the observation deck in front of this hotel, but the Seven Arches is located on the very top of the Mount of Olives, from where you can walk (we were without a car) to the Old City of Jerusalem, and especially return in the evening, it would be hard.

Advantages of the hotel:

2. So another advantage of the "Panorama" is a 10-15 minute walk to the Lion's Gate of the Old City or, a little further, to the Garbage Gate.
3. For Christians: the path runs through the Kidron Valley past Gethsemane, the Temple of All Nations, the Tomb of the Most Holy Theotokos and the Church of the First Martyr Stephen, located on the site where he was stoned. Almost immediately after the Lion's Gate begins Via Dolorosa.
4. The hotel staff is friendly.
5. Nearby is a burger shop where you can buy a traditional Middle Eastern fast food - pita with falafel, if you didn’t have time or didn’t want to have dinner in the city. Nearby there is a vegetable store, where almost always in the evening, just when we returned to the hotel, there were discounts on vegetables and fruits, everything was cheap.
6. Breakfasts are modest, but we didn't go hungry.
Hotel cons:
1. The neighborhood is not very clean (to put it diplomatically).
2. The hotel itself is in need of renovation for a long time. The order is maintained, but, for example, it is high time to throw out the carpet.
I don't know what to attribute to - advantages or disadvantages:
1. The hotel is located in the Muslim quarter and it seems to be intended mainly for Muslim pilgrims, although not only for them. We did not encounter any discomfort in this regard.
2. The hotel stands in the middle of the necropolis: the Kidron Valley and the slopes of the Mount of Olives have been used for burials since ancient times. This never embarrassed us: the dead are the quietest of people!
3. There is a mosque nearby and the muezzin will wake you up early in the morning. The call to prayer from the loudspeakers also rushes from the Temple Mount, quite loudly. We took it as a local exotic and did not worry about it.
Summary: a budget hotel for active travelers who return to the hotel only to sleep and take a shower, but do not save enough to stay in hostels.

Excellent location. Walking distance to all attractions. Excellent staff attitude. Despite the location in the Arab quarter, no discomfort. Near shops with cheap vegetables and fruits, fast food. They immediately respond to the slightest request. Poor choice of food for breakfast, but you won't leave hungry.
