Milan
Milan is the main city of northern Italy, the administrative center of the Lombardy region, the largest region in Italy. The city is the capital of the region and the financial and economic capital of Italy. For many centuries the city bore the name Mayland, which to this day is the German name of the city.
Milan is located in the western part of Lombardy.
The city is famous for its fashion houses and shops on Via Montenapoleone and in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Piazza Duomo, supposedly the oldest shopping center in the world. Milan is one of the world's fashion capitals.
It is here that the creation of the Last Supper or the Last Supper is located - one of the main treasures of Milan. In the center of Milan, next to the Gothic church of Santa Maria delle Grazie - Santa Maria della Grazie is the entrance to the former Dominican monastery, where the famous fresco of the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci is located.
The Alfa Romeo Museum is definitely worth a mention.
I was struck by one taxi driver who, when asked: "What's yo name? " In response, I heard "Andrey, Shevchenko's music, bat from Ukraine", and a trip to the airport was half price.
It is worth mentioning the hotel I stayed in, it was Ambachatori, a magnificent hotel, in the city center, 50 meters from the Duomo. All in all it's great.
