Hello. We flew to Milan for the November holidays. Tickets were bought on sale in Finair for 8 thousand in both directions. We were very unlucky with the weather. The rain didn't stop. And sometimes there was a strong wind that the umbrellas all broke (not ours - the hotel). The guide said that for Milan precipitation is a frequent occurrence.

Immediately about the hotel: Hotel Galileo 4 * excellent value for money. The staff is friendly. You need an extra pillow - please, you need an adapter - please, you need coffee in the room - please, the porter brought all the suitcases, I gave instructions on how to use it. We needed a room for three, so that the extra bed would not be a folding bed, and that the room itself would be spacious. In relation to other 4-cams, the price was very democratic. Everything in the room was comfortable enough: two sinks, bathroom, toilet and baby everything is not new but in good condition. The third place is a folding sofa, on which two people could fit and the mattress is good. There are many mirrors, enough light, large windows, iron shutters, automatic. Breakfasts are excellent, tasty, hearty, varied. I especially liked the juices in small bottles (most of all tomato, I haven’t tasted such delicious anywhere) it’s very convenient to take them on an excursion. Usually everyone says that you can’t take anything from the buffet - I also took juices, there were still cookies and buns in the package, it’s very convenient, I took a bite to eat on an off-site excursion, no one said a word to me, and I didn’t hide it in carried in her hands. The location is convenient, 5 minutes from the cathedral. To summarize: for people who love comfort, but without undue pretensions, this is a good place. If you want to be completely licked, it is better to look for another option. The hotel is not the newest (would be in Russia, said that the Soviet period). I was personally very satisfied with everything.

Milan is a beautiful city, but there is nothing special to see, there are few sights. The cathedral is stunning in its beauty, if you decide to go up to the top - do not regret 7 euros and take the elevator, I saw tourists on the roof who, throwing their tongues over their shoulders, climbed to the top and lamented for a long time that they did not take the elevator. In the same place, on the elevator 7-8 euros (I don’t remember exactly) and on foot for free. Here it is not necessary to go to the grottoes, it smells like fu, and there is nothing to see. The guidebooks say that if you want to look at the fresco of the Last Supper, tickets must be ordered in advance - we did not order, but we got there on the same day. In the morning we stopped by and bought a ticket for 3 o'clock in the afternoon. There they launch in batches and give 10-15 minutes to admire this work of art.

We went not for shopping, but just for a walk. A sightseeing tour of 3 hours and in the evening was enough for us to walk along the streets of Milan (taking into account the weather conditions). The rest of the days we spent on field trips.

Full day excursion to Lake Como - stunned how beautiful it is, what would I live like that!!! ! We walked around several towns, rode the ferry, climbed the funicular, ate very tasty and not expensive. Landscapes and panoramas - beyond words. Why, even a gusty wind with rain did not worsen, but rather gave a special mood. If you are in a car, do not forget to drink dramin, the roads are serpentine. These places can be reached by train, and ferry service between the towns. You can visit all this on your own, but we used the services of an individual guide. It all depends on preferences, who likes to wander around, but sees less and learns less, who likes to be brought and taken away, told and recommended a good restaurant. Especially convenient for those who do not speak the language well.

Excursion to Switzerland on Lake Lugano - and I am also delighted with it. Before the trip, I went to the website of the Switzerland in miniature park - there was information that it did not work in November, in fact everything worked. We liked the tour very much. We visited several towns on the shore of the lake and in the mountains (Lugano, Belenzono), also ate in a restaurant with a stunning panoramic view, and stopped by the outlet. It is better to carry out field trips with a guide, save time and money (this is my personal opinion, if you get by public transport it will take a lot of time to wait for it, if you rent a car, the driver will not be able to enjoy all the beauty while driving). We liked the guide, tactful, knowledgeable, punctual. If anyone needs I can recommend, I have his business card with an email address.
