Of the hotels offered by the tour operator, we stopped at Fairway Sunset Galle, and we never regretted it, we read a lot of reviews, but I did not find a bad review for our hotel. The hotel is new, built in 2016. The rooms are large with a large balcony. Our room overlooked the railway, but the sound of a passing train is almost inaudible, like ours, there are no shaking walls, everything is calm.

The hotel is new, built in 2016. The rooms are large with a large balcony. Our room overlooked the railway, but the sound of a passing train is almost inaudible, like ours, there are no shaking walls, everything is calm. The shower and toilet are clean, beautiful, comfortable, accessories are in abundance. Cleaning daily, change of towels daily.
We ordered breakfast and did not regret it. The food was delicious at the buffet. Freshly squeezed juice every day. The restaurant is clean, you are served and the table is served. And the ocean view from the restaurant is amazing. We swam in the ocean +28, a very chic feeling. There is a fishing beach near the hotel, we went swimming while crossing the river, the beach is clean there. We went to Unawatuna on a city bus 3 stops from the alcohol market.
Tuktukers charge 400 rupees and bus 25-30 rupees per person. We did not take excursions in Halle, we ourselves went by bus, and then a collective review. Everything is very cool!!!
We took a 2-day tour, an overview of the island. It includes: elephant orphanage, Ayurvedic cosmetics + massage of your choice (face, neck, legs), tea factory with tea tasting, botanical garden, orchid house, climbing Ambulavave mountain, overnight at the wonderful Ravana hotel with buffet dinner . At the foot of the hotel there is a waterfall where you can swim. In the morning breakfast and departure to the tea plantations, a train ride to the bridge of 9 arches, then climbed the mountain "Little Adam's Peak". From there, at will, we went down on a (zipline) - it's very cool!! ! Then we went to the big Ravana waterfall and fed the monkeys.
But in general, the rest was just wonderful, we liked everything, also the girls at the reception are always friendly and will tell you everything that interests you. Have a nice holiday!! !

You can’t swim nearby the beach, which is a beach for fishermen across the road, a dirty river flows into it, they don’t swim there, it’s not long to go to a normal beach, but the hotel itself is very good, new, clean rooms.
