Chapelle des Penitents Blancs
France, Les Baux-de-Provence
Chapel of the White Penitents is located near St. Vincent. It was built by a secular order of penitents in the middle of the 17th century and originally served as the burial place of the deceased members of the brotherhood.

The monumental front door is crowned with a bas-relief depicting two penitents and an inscription in Latin "In the name of Jesus, every knee bowed." And the vault of the chapel is decorated with modern (1974) frescoes by Yves Breuer on the theme of Christmas.
