Unfortunately, the fountain was under renovation during my visit. But I did photograph a significant portion of its elements. The Fountain of the Calamo, also known as the Fountain of the Thirteen Streams, was named after the Greek word for reed, as it was once located in marshland. The exact date of its construction is unknown, but it is known that in 1426 the fountain was equipped with collecting tanks, and in 1438 it was used by the wool merchants' guild. The fountain has thirteen streams, twelve of which are covered with bronze masks depicting satyrs and fauns.→
