On the Square of Herbs (Piazza delle Erbe), which is one of the oldest squares in Bolzano, there is a fountain of Neptune. It is installed on the site where once there was a pillory for convicts. A bronze figure of Neptune surrounded by three dolphins rises on a high marble pedestal. The sea god holds a trident in his hand, for which the locals jokingly call him "Fork Master" : )→
