Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps and the natural border between France and Italy. The height of the mountain reaches 4810 m, and its length is about 50 km. On the northern slope of Mont Blanc is a large glacier Mer de Glace. A popular tourist route in the Western Alps "Trek around Mont Blanc" passes around the mountain range, which can be overcome in 7-11 days. Mont Blanc is the center of mountaineering and mountain tourism, at its foot there is the French resort Chamonix and the Italian Courmayeur .
