Piazza Navona is located in the center of Rome near the Pantheon and is an elongated quadrangle. It was built in the 17th century in the Baroque style. Here are the Pamphili Palace, the Church of St. Agnes and other historical buildings. In the center of the square is the Fountain of the Four Rivers, created by Bernini in 1651 and symbolizing the main rivers of the four parts of the world - the Danube, the Ganges, the Nile and La Plata (the Amazon was still unknown at that time).

cozy square

I ended up there by accident, it was not on the list of my must-see places, but it turned out to be very beautiful there, a large square with three fountains, there are many cafes around, where it is also nice to sit and listen to the sound of fountains. It is very bright and quiet, unlike other tourist hotspots in Rome. The most famous square in Rome.

I put 10 and write simply that this is my favorite square in Rome. It is good at any time, but if you have the opportunity, sit in the evening at a table with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in any cafe in the farewell, and feel the soul of Rome.→
