Warsaw Uprising Museum

Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego
Poland, Warsaw
The Museum of the Warsaw Uprising was opened on July 31, 2004 in the building of the former tram depot. It is dedicated to the Warsaw events of 1944, the struggle of the Poles against the fascist occupation and the further fate of the rebels. The museum has about 1,000 exhibits and 1,500 photographs and films. Also noteworthy is the museum tower, which offers a beautiful view of Warsaw.

This museum is quite modern, I spent more than 2 hours in it - the museum is large. From the reviews I know that people spend 4 hours, and some even more. Of course, the place is memorable, while you are in it, you are very immersed in those events, atmospheric. Everything that is presented in it is the most important part of the history of Poland. I don’t know how it is now, but before Sunday it was considered a day when you didn’t have to pay for admission, which was why there were a lot of people.

I really liked the museum. I will gladly go again if possible. There are several halls, each of which has its own history, there is a small cinema hall where military films are broadcast, as the tour progresses, leaflets in the form of wall calendars hang in each hall with certain dates and a brief history of the events of that day, if I’m not mistaken, either two languages (English, Polish), or three (English, Polish, Russian) (you can take it as a keepsake). Well, in general, the atmosphere is so amazing for me, the sounds of shots, explosions and other things are constantly heard in the halls, it seems that you yourself are at war, sometimes even goosebumps.
