The narrowest house

The narrowest house in Europe, The narrowest house in the world, Keret House
Poland, Warsaw
The Keret House is the narrowest house in Europe, designed by Yakub Szczensny. The width of the house does not exceed one and a half meters, it consists of 3 floors and is equipped with everything necessary for life. The opening of the house took place on October 27, 2012. The first tenant of the house was the Israeli writer Edgar Keret. An interesting fact is that, according to Polish law, a building with such dimensions cannot be recognized as a house, so it had to be designed as a work of street art.

The Warsaw record holder in the "narrowest house" category is one of the ten narrowest houses in the world and is considered the narrowest house in Europe. In fact, the Warsaw version is a kind of insertion between two buildings. The height of the building is about 12 meters. Width - 1.5 meters. On each floor there is one room 7.5 meters long. You need to climb to the 2nd floor on a ladder. According to the idea of the architect Yakub Schastny, people of art should live in such a building, because for them life is an artistic act, and not a philistine process.
