One of the most powerful towers in Podillya is the Stefan Batory Tower in Kamianets-Podilskyi. It is a monument of architecture and urban planning of Ukraine of national importance. It is also called Kushnirskaya or Royal. Experts have recognized the tower as one of the outstanding works of defensive art of the 16th century. The unique building was erected in 1564-1565. The project leader was Matviy Halychanyn, the head of the Kamenets fortification. Initially, the tower consisted of 5 tiers and had an elliptical shape.→
