The canyon of the Smotrych River in the area of ​ ​ Kamyanets is a unique phenomenon for this region of Ukraine. A deep narrow river valley with steep cliffs of 30-40 meters is a real miracle of nature. Within the city, the length of the canyon reaches 9 kilometers and has an area of ​ ​.49 hectares. Thanks to the canyon, the loop of Smotrych around the Old Town, the city was inaccessible to enemies (of course, first a loop appeared tens of thousands of years ago, and then on this rock, almost an island, the city appeared).→
