Close to airport, great overnight stay before flight
It is unfortunate that we could not see this hotel in daylight. I arrived too late due to the excruciating traffic jams of Colombo, I only had the strength to get some sleep before the flight home.

incomparably
Although I got to Bentota in the very rainy season, the hotel fell out to me - sheer cuteness! Starting from the boy at the reception with impeccable English and ending with food in the restaurant.

Well, so-so hotel
The most convenient way to go on a safari to Yala National Park is from a small town called Tissamaharama. The Kithala Resort is just on the way to the national park. I did not like the smell of dampness and mustiness in the hotel.

A hotel made from a tea factory
There was an ordinary tea factory, of which there are many in Nuwara Eliya, but apparently something went wrong with the profitability of the owners, and in 1996 a chic hotel was set up in the factory building.

Another hotel with a view in Kandy
According to the already established tradition, I only spent the night at the hotel, had breakfast and sunbathed by the pool in the morning. At Cinnamon Citadel, the pleasure of breakfast is doubled by gorgeous river and mountain views.

An oasis of cleanliness and comfort in Polonnaruwa
At the entrance to Polonnaruwa, I started looking at affordable hotels, but, like in Annuradhapura, the city does not shine with options for spending the night. The best rated hotel (Chaaya Ruins) sold out.

Lovely beach hotel
In mid-October in Trincomalee, I found the end of the beach season. Stunning sea with small waves, the hotel is half empty, the hotel rooms are very spacious, for guests who suddenly do not want to swim in the sea, there are wonderful pools.
