In general, I liked the rest in Thailand) There are 2 minuses (in my opinion): a long road THERE - travel to N-ska, plane to Bangkok, bus to Trat, ferry to the island, transfer around the island to the hotel... it turned out exactly a day! It's easier back, because. there via Bangkok. And the second minus is very high humidity combined with heat! I didn't like it very much, but my husband liked it.
Ko Chang. certainly. TALE))) The water is clean, and what a warm! , the food is not expensive, the beaches are half empty) The hotel is very good) In the center of the coast, there are many cafes nearby, an elephant farm, the beach is excellent! We were at the end of November, probably not yet the high season, so the hotel was half empty. They fed well (but we only had breakfasts), pineapples for breakfast were beyond praise, at first I thought that they were soaking them in syrup - so sweet!!!
The rooms are also good, everything worked)) The safe is free at the reception. In the evenings, tables are taken out to the beach - you sit and drink. coffee (or beer : -) ) and relax watching the sunset)) and then fire show! Everything around is fragrant with the aromas of the jungle, the birds of paradise really yell (sing) right from 5 in the morning, BUT in general, BEAUTY!!! ! We were at Klong Prau Beach - a very nice beach! There are low tides, but they didn’t strain at all))) In the morning, the water was up to the sunbeds, in the evening it left, but by 100 meters, the bottom was excellent, the waves, and the depth was decent, not so you go, you go and everything is knee-deep). There are not many excursions on the island - elephants, a walk on the neighboring islands, waterfalls, bungee, massage . . and that’s all, probably) Having visited a number of islands, we decided that our beach is no worse, and maybe even better in some ways! The people on this excursion - Surprised apple have nowhere to fall)) They have corals, BUT do not compare them with Egypt)))
The waterfalls are very beautiful, the water is cool, you can swim.
In the evening there is nowhere to walk there - there is only one road, there are no footpaths) We were lucky that we got to some local festival, so there was a food and clothing fair for a week in the evening, local amateur performances, elephant performances, etc. etc. ))) In the evening (almost every day) fire show on the beach. Moreover, the boys walk along the coast from hotel to hotel, and we follow them)) We sit at a table at any hotel and stare for free) What else I liked was that you can swim in the pool at least all night, they clean it in the morning) until 18.00 and that's it - the shop is closed)
Food in cafes is cheap - for two with soup, a second seafood, beer, fresh pineapple - 200-250 rubles. ) Pineapples on the island are tastier than in Bangkok, they grow here)) regretted that I didn’t buy pineapples home THERE. Shrimp also ate a year ahead))
In general, rest on the island is relaxation)))
But Bangkok is a completely different kind of holiday! This is shopping, excursions, walking!! ! We walked around the entire old part of the city, where the Royal Palace, the temples. How many Buddhas we saw there - both sitting, standing and lying))). There and in the evening, everything sparkles and beckons))) 2.5 days were not enough for us (((
We decided next time to take a combined tour - 5 days of Pattaya, the island, Bangkok and maybe even get to Cambodia)))

great budget hotel! The staff is unobtrusive but friendly and helpful. hearty breakfasts, although without too much variety - everything is prepared fresh, I especially liked the home breakfast. but who does not like to walk - there is no beach, 10 minutes to the sea at a leisurely pace.
